Golden and very clear. Subtle happiness
plus a gentle floral flavour. Bursting with taste which made it so easy to drink. A perfect summer beer although it is classy enough to drink at any time. Truly excellent.

A clear pale yellow with a decent head that lasts. The aroma is a fresh floral hops. Tastes are a light dry bitterness with some sweet maltness.Rather pleasant as a session ale.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 flying_pig (338) - SCOTLAND - FEB 19, 2012
Bottle (500ml):
A great fruity smell to begin with along with some strong hops and there is a very noticeable elderflower aroma, background notes of pine too.
Crystal clear, golden amber with a large and foamy head & some nice lacing.
Some elderflower from the nose along with a background wheat taste and some hops and pine. I could also detect some good fruity flavours and citrus towards the end. A good tasting beer.
Light to medium bodied and as expected this one is smooth with moderate carbonation and has a crisp, bitter finish.
This beer has been one of the best, if not the best of this style of beer I have reviewed thus far. It has been a very pleasant surprise and a great drinking experience thus far. Certainly a beer I will try to pick up again in the future, and for once a beer that I might have to actively seek out on cask.

A stalwart in my cellar, floral grassy aromas with a clear golden appearance. Lemons and assorted citrus flavours with a lingering bitterness, nicely balanced. An all time favourite.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 hawthorne00 (1435) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - SEP 12, 2011
Bottle. Pale gold with a white head that lasts OK. Aroma of oranges, elderflowers, light honey. Taste has a little honey and lots of citrus - orange and lemon - some spices. Pretty dry and pleasantly bitter. The pastuerisation is not much of a distraction with this one, perhaps because the carbonation and straightforward crispness suit it. Refreshing.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Vignale (911) - Malmö, SWEDEN - AUG 23, 2011
Crisp golden ale with good hop character and caramel, but dry maltbody.

Bottle from Dobbies. Buttered dishcloth, shortbread aroma outshone by Oakham Citra. Pale with a scant white foam. Lean pine and butteriness; lurking licked envelope and papery evergreen notes. Scratchy finish; husk, bitter linger. Some soda emptiness, vanilla, grass and English woods. Lacks much of the character of the cask version.
