2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Smells lovely flowery and sweet malty notes in the back. Light golden with white head. Taste is dissappointing. Aftertaste of dandy lions? Tart and medicinal bitterness. Not a winner in my book.

Man can only drink so many blond ales, and I’ve ticked this one off, and wouldn’t want to return to it, bland.

Bottle from Dobbies Garden Centre. Pours light orange colour. Elderflower flavour is very strong and overpowers everything else but still a very refreshing beer for a summer evening

From The Old Bridge Inn, Aviemore after a walk in the Abernethy Forest. Elderflower aroma was strong, refreshing & spritzy with a good hop finish. The best of the 5 Cairngorm beers I tried while camping nearby.

A nice rounded taste without a wow factor. The perle hoping came accross as subtle and supported the refined bitterness. But I don’t really get this as a wheat beer / malted barly combo. Apparently brewed with elderflower this didn’t come through in the least. At best a drinkable cask ale at worste confused. Drunk at the Gelnuig Inn with Stuart and Bridgid.
