3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle BBE: 28 Jul 2016. Cellar temp. Pours a clear, reddish chestnut brown body with small, tight, creamy tan head. The nose is malt-forward, medium-low intensity, with doughy granary loaf, flour and a hint of coffee. A medium-high toffee sweetness dominates on the tongue, with just a slight, subtle underlying bitterness. Full-medium bodied with a smooth texture, medium-low carbonation and a slightly cloying aftertaste. Not a bad offering from Cairngorm, but too sweet for my tastes.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
When poured into glas, the dark amber to hazelnut coloured beer produces a big, longlasting, off-white to brown head. Aromas of floral hops, caramel, raisins, plums and roast malt all together with a slightly alcoholic touch, almost ester-like. The taste ist overall a bit waterish. Now herbal and floral hops, wheat and a slightly bitter hoppy finish. Medium body, slick mouthfeel, soft carbonation.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Kind of a generic beer: aromas are toffee, floral and some fruit but nothing distinctive. Flavour is the same. Some sweetness, mouthfeel is a bit watery. OK session ale.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
500 ml brown bottle with a BB date stamp of 28 Jan. 2016. Consumed at the end of April 2015 in Largoward, Scotland.
Dark red-brown body has a decent head and leaves sticky lacing. Unusual floral-spicy aroma. The flavor is also unexpected, suggesting wild yeast or bacteria in Wildcat. Complex, floral-fruity-spicy, but challenging flavor. No indication of this on the label’s deScription, so this may be a contaminated bottle. This seems most likely in the aftertaste, but this may just be a somewhat unfortunate mix of earthy-spicy hops. It is drinkable.

Deep red. Faint head. Little thin perhaps? Fruit to the fore. Mmmm what fruit? Yhink red berries , scottish gorse flavour etc. Ok. Nothing not to like and would take again. On other hand not special.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle from Asda. Deep red with light head. Aromas of toffee. Tastes of malt, with hints of fruit and hops. Surprisingly fizzy. Bitter aftertaste. A refreshing ale that would go well with crisps or nuts.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Good feel in the mouth, refreshing. Nice balance of bitter flavours, slight licorice and a little sweetness. Nothing exciting here but its a drinkable beer and keeps a decent head. Sort of a heavy - stout mix.
