Jul 12, 2008 Handpulled cask at Red Lion, Isleworth. Deep brown with an off-white head. Heavy malt accent in the scotish style. Gentle bitter hop finish. Pretty good.

Jul 10, 2008 Cask gravity at Ealing Beer Festival 2008. Deep russet brown. After being bottled for a day and a half, not in great condition. Some nice toffee and malt. Bit toasty and then some balancing hop on finish. A pretty good premium bitter, plenty of flavour. Bit of plastic maybe, but that could be from the bottle. Decent full fruity malt.

Jun 16, 2008 Cask at the Monks Retreat (JDW), Reading. Chestnut with a dense cream head; syrupy malt aroma; lots of earthy malt flavours with some roasted nuts and some sour blackberry fruit; deeply bitter finish. Excellent.
