2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
UPDATED: FEB 8, 2006 Cool!, as the Old JOck, but a little softer, very high alcohol. Your tongue ca feel it, and that apple rotten you can sense also. It is like a fruit beer but, of course, it is not.

UPDATED: JUN 14, 2010 Cask conditioned - handpump - JDW Northampton. An amber to mid brown coloured beer. The aroma is malty and oaky but a little on the thin side. The taste is fruity and a tad warming. There is maybe a little pear and vanilla hidden in there. An interesting and tasty beer. Score 3.4

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
One of the few ales that is easily drinkable and is regularly in. Probably the best of the cairngorm beers, malty with slight hoppiness in it.
Good for a session.
Weatherspoons as usual.
