2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
(Old BA rate - bottle)
Pours with a pretty huge head even though I hadn’t disturbed the can; pretty big rocky white that actually didn’t hold too badly at all. No lacing really to speak of, but with a clear golden yellowish hue.
Some minerally hop bitterness in the aroma, some biscuits, then moves onto a grassier aroma. Lacks that vegetal aroma typical of Euro and American pale lagers, which was a bonus in my mind. Nothing off or unexpected for the style.
The flavor is a bit sweeter than I would normally care for in the style; but a faint whiff of those hops come in; bit bready; then the hops come back in a touch in a drying way at the end. Medium to thinner MF, and the carbonation is quite subtle. Sorta dry, and actually thirst quenching enough for the style. Definitely typical of the style, and a hair better than the other macros (save maybe regular Cardinal) produced in Switzerland. Not bad.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle, 6%. Clear golden colour. Small stable white head. The flavour is mildly malty, not very bitter. Has a little spicy note, seems to come from the hops. A bit subdued, but not bad.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Clear golden with a white head. Aroma of brewing cereal. Medium body, rather sweet malts and brewing cereal - perhaps a little caramel even. Sulphurous and crude finish. 190210

1.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Bottled 33cl. 6.0 ABV. Meisterbräu Luxusbier. It pours a golden beer with a small quick diminishing white head. The nose is of malt, caramel, grass, hay and dry fruits accompanied by a very sweet and oily touch. Marshmallows, malt, vegetables, grass, alcohol and pears in the taste. This beer reminds me of malt liquor. The flavor is definately inferior to the nose. Very sweet indeed. The finish is dry buttery grassy.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottled (as Meisterbräu Luxusbier at 6.0%). Thanks Bov! Yellow colour with small white head. Very strong aroma of malts and hay/grass (something in between). Flavour is raw vegetables along with malts and slight hops. Mouthdrying... makes you want more to drink, not necessarily of the same though...
