4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: AUG 16, 2016 Named after a kayaking spot, or something. Possibly in the ocean, or on the Willamette River. Doesnít matter, the beer is the star here. A thick, rich, delicious Stout. It tastes exactly as it should.
Re-Rating 8/16/2016: 8, 5, 7, 4, 15 / Below average Stout. Sampled at the Albany, OR brewpub.

Pours a finger of tan head on a black body.
The aroma is licorice, coffee, dark chocolate and roasted malt. Nice.
The taste is milky, a little chocolate and coffee too.
The texture is smoother.
A solid and nice drinking stout.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bomber from Rothís. Dark in color. Ruby outlines. Nose is dominated by sweet roasted coffee. Sweet and roasty up front. A bit of a yogurt flavor to it. Decent flavorings, but a little off.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle:   Thatís not good when you pour a beer and you get more foam than liquid.   Huge light beige head, foamy, otherwise nearly black.   Somewhat decent lacing... but is that because its overcarbonated or infected?
Dark chocolate and roasted malts on the nose.   Oh... each sip results in a foaming in the mouth.   Apple skin, roasted malts, dark chocolate, and coffee on the tongue.   Its a bit hard to get over the extreme foaminess
of this beer.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate, albeit very very spritzy!   Not really getting any licorice or vanilla with this.   Seems to be a straight forward stout that is either over carbonated or is on its way to a
major infection.   Lingering sour apple skin, charred wood, campfire, and super dark chocolate.   Perhaps I sat on this too long (6 months +).

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bomber from Made In Oregon. Pours dark brown with a 4 finger foamy/creamy tan head. Itís Alive! Aroma is chocolate/anise. Med body. Flavor is chocolate/anise/coffee. With time there might be some oak astringency, but itís subtle. Overall this is a standard stout with non-standard flavor levels. It finishes chocolate/coffee, and it is quite delicious. Not exactly a bitter finish, but fairly so.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Sample tasting at brewery: Pours dark but not black with a light head. Aroma is of roasted and chocolate malts. Taste is chocolate, bitter with a good malty balance. Slightly thin, bubbly and good flavor. Nice and mellow with a lingering bitter.
