COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A true gem – rich in color and taste; heavily hopped, but so smooth that even non-hop-heads love this beer!

Imperial pint in a dimpled mugs at "f/stop Fitzegeralds" bar in Salem. $4.00 Nice copper coloured ale with a off white inch high head that sticks. Good English hop profile for a while then the usual PNW takes over..strong malty caramel. Nice tasty yet balanced beer..gret hop profile balanced by a chewy maltiness. Very nice on the tongue ..complex yet goes smooth. Overall a very drinkable well made PNW ESB..

Not heavily hopped. But rich in flavour withal. Coppery body with white head. Malt and hops in proper proportion. Finish lasts a long time.

Pale amber color with a finger of thick white head that left some nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is caramel malts and citrus and earthy hops. Taste is caramel malty sweetness with some citrus and earthy hop bitterness that lingers nicely on the palate. Medium body and soft carbonation. A very nice bitter that was tasty and enjoyable.

I had an IPA right before this so it might have thrown me off a bit, but I was underwhelmed by this one. No depth at all.

Hophazard (193) - San Francisco, California, USA - FEB 18, 2011
Malty graininess on the nose with a tinge of sweetness. A hazy amber glass with a one finger white head. A bit of sweetness starts, eithe rfrom crystal malt or English hops. Finish is dry and clean as expected. Hop flavor emerges on the mid-palate and is medium spicy/floral. Light in body and quaffable. A fine bitter; crispness keeps you coming back for more.

Not quite an IPA, not quite a true ESB, not quite bitter enough for my taste.

On tap at Calapooia in Albany, OR--Poured a golden-amber body with a small swirly whitish head. Nose was quite hops-laden. Biscuity, crisp and citrusy. Very nice hoppy take on the style. Not as sweet or earthy as a traditional ESB, but quite delish!
