Im not a fan of American pale ales but this one was really nice, citric and floral aroma, also the flavor is citric.

Bottle from the beer box in playa del carmen. I don’t have much for notes and I drank a lot of other things after this beer, but it was a pretty subpar APA. Yellow orange pour with lots of carbonation. Light herbal hops, very light. Caramel malt. Not a lot of flavour.

Bottle: Thanks to rfernandez for the sample. Calavera has great marketing, concepts, designs, digital media, etc. Beers a avg to weak, the pale ale is one dimensional, lacks character, body and taste. Keep the design, re-do the recipe.

UPDATED: JAN 3, 2012 Fisrt Mexican American Pale Ale i´ve tried, deep amber in colour, small head with regular retention; Aroma with medium intensity, with both floral and citrus hop notes. Medium Body, Medium Carbonatation, creamy bittersweet flavor with a good balance between th floral hop notes and the sweet malt notes.

Has very subtle aromas of grass, and very dominant honey notes. The honey motiff stays throughout the tasting, and leaves a sticky, heavy, sweet honey aftertaste in your mouth. It has a medium body, and very soft carbonation.

Bottled. Golden coloured. Unclear. Dense off white head. Aroma of fruits, spice and caramel. Light herbal. Flavour of caramel, herbs, light yeast and spice. Medium bodied. Light herbal bitterness in the end. A bit on the light side on the hoppy side.

Hazy golden color; medium creamy head. Medium aroma of malt and nuts (hazelnuts, peanuts). Dry mouthfeel, some caramel flavor, low sweetness, correct bitterness; there is something dusty. Imprecise.

Clear medium yellow orange color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, fully diminishing, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, light to moderate hoppy, resin - cleaning stof, earth notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average duration. Body is light medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20091130]

Fruity aroma of spices with notes of hops.
Fruity flavour of caramel, hops and grass.
