COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Bottle (at Micheladas del Semaforo, BB Mar 2015). Head is initially small, mostly diminishing. Body is black. Aroma is moderately malty (chocolate, molasses, roasted grain), with light notes of anise and alcohol. Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Medium to full body, watery/creamy texture, lively/soft carbonation, moderately alcoholic. A bit simple, but certainly drinkable.

A great mexican beer and the best mexican stout! This unfiltered beer is so very well balanced you can barely feel the 9% alc. vol. You can smell the caramel and raisins all right but when it comes to flavor, on top of the chocolate and coffee, this unique beer offers you an extra kick of chile (nothing too spicy). It tastes just like a creamier more sophisticated version of Rámuri’s Lágrimas Negras (wich is still one of my favorites).

This is a very good and interesting Stout, this beer was created specially for Mexican food made with "mole negro" that´s the reason why they add chili on this beer, but in spite of that it doesn´t taste spicy at all, it has a real character, in the appeareance the smooth colour is brown and the body of the beer is very dark, almost completly black, definitly one of my favourite national beers, along with "Rámuri - Lágrimas Negras".

Amazing Stout, i can drink one of this every time I go the bar. Nice solid body, the foam could be better it doesn’t last so much. The chili taste at the end is really good, I think is the best Mexican beer.

Bottle: Thanks Flavio: Served in a Chouffe glass: Brown pour. Medium sized, lively yet thick beige to darker beige to light brown foamy head on top of a deep dark to black colored beer. Aromas of coffee, coffee beans, liquorice, liquorice wood, some bay leaf, some roast, coffee liquor, malt and hay roast. Flavours of nut roast, chocolate, cacoa, cream, coffee, bitters, light spicy, creamy malt roast/creamy malt toast, some hops, herbs and herb toast. Aftertaste is a mix of bitters, chocolate, creamy malt roast and some coffee. Low carbo, creamy mouthfeel, full body and a creamy texture. Decent Imperial Stout with some hop tones but mostly good creamy chocolate tones. Nice.
