My Bottom Line:
Licorice, molasses and chocolate converge on this thick but solid Imperial Stout.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A ring of foam crowns the brown-edged darkness.
-Mild fruitiness is found under the sweet specialty malts.
-Carbonation is relatively low, making the residual sugars feel heavier.
-This isn’t world-class in its category, but it is a mighty fine brew considering where you are in the world to get it.

(bottle) black in colour with a frothy beige head. aroma of brown sugar, milk chocolate and vanilla, with a light touch of coconut milk, some fried beef and soy sauce. flavour is mostly milk chocolate, soy sauce and fudge, slightly tart and alcoholic, with a hint of earth in the light roasted-bitter finish. heavy-bodied with lively carbonation.

Pours like oil with no head. Aroma is lactose, roasted barley and milk chocolate. Tastes like a milk stout, dark chocolate and has a sharp bite. Pretty tasty. I think they added some chili peppers which burn on the finish. ITs ok, but unexpected. half strength would be better.

Bottle shared by omhper, thans. Small but lasting brown head. Sweet caramell malt aroma blended with smooth chocolate. Big chocolate taste and a tiny tuch halepenios. Sweet aftertaste and a low bitternes.

Bottle - Bittersweet chocolate and nice cocoa in the finish. Jet black with almost no head. Bittersweet chocolate throughout and a sweetness in the finish. Not bad, a bit boring though.

Bottle. Pours opaque, oily black with a fine-grained, shallow, medium tan head. Nose is Mexican chocolate, molasses, spice, dates, and vanilla. Sweet and very smoky on the tongue; lots of vanilla and coffee, as well as the elements on the nose. Smoke overlays all, but is not unpleasant or out of balance; the chili heat kicks in on the close, and remains subtle. The finish has just an element of chili vegetal and more smoke, and has exquisite balance and flavor. This is one of the best uses of dried chili I’ve ever tasted in a beer.
