COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Bottle sample at a tasting at Alexey’s place. Thanks Alexey. Black with a foamy tan head. Dried figs and some coconut aroma, smooth, cocoa nibs in the mouth. Quite fizzy, full body, slightly roasty, with a long, woodsy finish.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Alexey’s place. Thanks Alexey. Black with a big tan head. Aroma of roast, chocolate, a bit of caramel. Sweet flavor with light souness, roast, chocolate, a bit of coffee, a bit of dark fruits, and a caramel note. Medium to full-bodied. Very nice.

It pours a very dark brown color with a small tan head. Aroma is medium sweet and lightly roasty, with notes of brown sugar, molasses, light roasted wood. Taste is also medium sweet with light roastiness and smoke, light nuts and roasted wood. Medium bodied with good carbonation. Overall, quite tasty and decent effort

My Bottom Line:
Licorice, molasses and chocolate converge on this thick but solid Imperial Stout.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A ring of foam crowns the brown-edged darkness.
-Mild fruitiness is found under the sweet specialty malts.
-Carbonation is relatively low, making the residual sugars feel heavier.
-This isn’t world-class in its category, but it is a mighty fine brew considering where you are in the world to get it.

Bottle.

Pours like oil with no head. Aroma is lactose, roasted barley and milk chocolate. Tastes like a milk stout, dark chocolate and has a sharp bite. Pretty tasty. I think they added some chili peppers which burn on the finish. ITs ok, but unexpected. half strength would be better.
