Amazing amber. Pours a bright amber with a thick beige head. Caramel, light toffee, nuts, coffee grinds and fresh citrus hops. A nice citrus and grassy profile, caramel. Good balance. Nice malt to balance the citrus and hop profile. Lightly bitter. Good beer.

355ml can pours a pale amber color with a finger of eggshell white head that leaves some decent lacing rings on the side of the glass. Aroma is caramel and citrus with some herbal notes. Taste is a herbal citrus hop bitterness with a grainy caramel malty sweetness. Light to medium bodied with decent carbonation. Overall, a well balanced and flavorful brew that I recommend to others.

Can. Pours almost clear golden. An inch of frothy head. Aroma of peach and citrus. Hints of grass and resin. Taste is fairly balanced. Light sweet at first with malts and caramel. Then into light resinous bitter notes. Quite drinkable. Body is medium light and feels close to fizzy.

355ml can @home. Poured amber in color with a deep, thick white head. Really nice malty, caramlley, fudgy aroma, some biscuits. Flavor has caramel, malt, hops and dried fruits. Long caramelly finish. Pleasant, although body could be much fuller. Thinnish.

(Draught at Beer Temple, Amsterdam, 25 Feb 2015) Amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty nose with notes of roasted grain, orange peel and toast. Malty, fruity taste with citrus, orange peel, caramel, toast and a balanced citric bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Tasty and well balanced. Nice one.

Poured medium amber with an off white head. Aroma of citrus and floral hops, soft malt. Medium body, flavour of orange, pine and grapefruit. Reasonably simple, but nice.

Amber with a fluffy off-white foam. Aromas are toffee and spices with toast and caramel. Ripe Autumn fruit with light pine. Flavours are sweet toffee with cream and pear. Gentle, sweet addictive hops with some woodiness and pine. Viscous on the palate. Good

Can at home. Pours amber to light brown with two fingers of foamy, creamy white head. Aroma is nice. Some floral. Some pine. Aromatic. Flavor is slightly bitter but not overwhelming with some malttiness, some earthiness. Finishes pretty clean and dry. Very nice and very drinkable beer.

American amber ale apparently named after a city in Oregon. From a 35,5 cl can, this is one of those craft breweries which come in elaborately decorated cans nowadays - which isn’t even such a bad idea, given the complete protection from light (beer’s worst enemy) and it being a lot less brittle than glassware. Anyway: misty orange blonde beer under a creamy, medium thick, irregular, slightly yellowish white head leaving good lacing. Refreshing aroma of orange peel, pink grapefruit, red onion, celery (pretty strong even!), fresh tomato soup with meat balls (no kidding!), cooked green beans, papaja, persimmon, honey, overripe apricot, white bread, peanuts. Taste begins fairly neutral, dried fruits and a hint of orange zest, minerally, medium carbonation, nutty, bit metallic in the middle, sourish hint, finishing in an ’American’ hop bitterness involving pepper and citrus, long, leafy and drying the throat, ensuring an utterly quenching effect. Easy going but well-balanced and hoppy enough to qualify almost as an APA, this is a refreshing yet characterful beer I could drink for hours on a summer afternoon. Nice.
