Poured from Can into Pint glass. Pours a clear radiant amber color with a fizzy off-white head that quickly dissolves into some wispy remnants. The aroma has biscuit malts, some brown sugar and some very faint hop scents. It has a lot of caramel malt up front with some hops on the end to round out the flavor. Its a light bodied beer with plenty of carbonation. This is something I’d buy if I were looking to take it easy on my taste buds. Extremely sessionable.

12-oz. can. Pours a murky dark amber with the faintest swirl of graish suds up top. Not much happening there, really. The nose is a little bit of brown bread and brown sugar. The body’s watery-ish, a little crisp, just big enough to stand up for itself. As a rule, the lighter flavors of an amber, or beers this size in general, don’t really stand up to a lot of sugar. There’s nothing for the sugars to play against until you start ratcheting up the other stuff. This is a perfect example of a thoroughly decent beer with no mistakes that suffers from too many sugars kicking around--a drier, earthier profile, like the Full Sail Amber, is much more drinkable and refreshing ("interesting" is probably aiming a little high at this level of grain bill). Brown sugar and brown bread with no hops to knock heads with, and no chewy body to stabilize them, well, they’re just a lot of sugar in the water. Mild finish. Man, I don’t envy people having to come up with a winner in this style...just punt and make your amber to please non-beer-drinkers. Which explains why so many of them taste like this, probably.

Rich amber with a thick head. Aroma is pleasantly complex for an amber with floral hops, tight amber/crystal malts, some malty sweetness, earhiness, and a hint of nut and bubble gum. Medium-bodied with easy mix of earthy malt and hops. Moderately sweet and bitter. Slight tangerine-citrus hop twang. A well-rounded, very drinkable amber.

Nice caramel aroma. Flavor has notes of caramel, pine, roasted malt, and floral hops. Pretty hoppy for an amber, but a great balance. Good all-around session beer.

Poured really nice, even without venting! Moderately dark amber, sticky creamy head. Strong caramel roast aroma, some leafy hops. Very balanced, soft gentle carbonation, heavy cream caramel dominates, little bit of the chewy stemmy hops creeps through.
