A conundrum in the world of beer styles. This ale does not fit any conventional beer style. Orange in color, this beer has hop characteristics of oranges and tangerines.
Grist: Premium Two Row, Crystal
Hops: Amarillo, Cascade, Simcoe
Original gravity: 1.052

Thought this was a red when I had it, but orange will suffice. Nice pour from what I could tell under poor lighting. Medium-sized white head. amber-copper body. Great floral sweet fruity hop notes. Smooth and quite qualpable. Finish was medium to dry with a bitterness that was not overwhelming.

Draft: Pours a crystal clear light orange color with small white head. Aroma of bready malts and lots of citrus and floral notes. Flavor is lightly malty and a little grainy, medium hop bitterness with lots of hop flavor, just the way i like it. I am picking up amarillo hops, some orange rind characteristics, floral hoppyness, slight grapefruit flavor. Finishes dry and crisp.

This draft brew from the Old Lampoc brew pub poured a small sized head of foamy fine to medium sized off-white colored bubbles that were and left behind a and a good lacing. The aroma was malty and bready. The crisp and clean mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The flavor contained notes of hops.

Almost like a IPA without the heavy malt and alcohol qualities. A truely quafable beer for the hop-heads. Give me a pitcher of this on a hot day in July at the Ashland Creek Bar and Grill and I’m in heaven.

On Tap at Rogue Ales Public House - Astoria Pours out a hazy orange topped off white head. A lot of citrus on this one also hops. Not bad.

Tap at my home away from home- Concordia Ale House. Orange amber, with a thick tan/white head. This beer eminates the dry hop phenomenon: huge citrus and herbal bang right in the nose.. Mmm hops! Flavor is initially citrusy, orange peel, and more beautiful hops, with a strong bittering hit combined with light biscuity flavors, winding up with long-lasting hop bitterness. Very enjoyable!

Tap @ Lompoc - Killer aroma, nice dry hopped, with lots of zesty citric fruits, big hops and a great malt body, has that fruit pie feel on the palate, enveloping and creamy with a bitter bite in the finish.

Tap at Horsebrass Pub. Decent beer, orange/amber colored. Fairly clear. Moderately lived white head leaves fair lacing behind. Medium bodied. Decent balance with a nice bit of citric bitterness that lingers in the finish. Fair to good IPA.

On tap at someplace in Portland. Not sure if the orange only refers to the color, or what. No orange flavor. Dry hopped? Perhaps, but not overly so.

On tap tonight at the Horse Brass. Nice looking orangy amber ale with a tiny white head that lasts no time, some lace left. Aroma is pleasant but nothing special ..of hops and malts with a touch or orange peel zest. The taste was exhilarating to start with the hops blending well with the orange peel falavours but after a while it bacame dullish, but themalts held throughout. Mouthfeel was rather on the thin side and average for style This is a nice beer but for once I think this would be better served quite chilled
