Caldera IPA

Clear orange color with large bubbles on the head. Good hop aroma. Balance is a little late coming, but is present.

Gold amber with a head that leaves plenty of lacing. Both spicy and citrus hops in the aroma, as well as a bit of funkiness. Earthy with definite grapefruit flavors. Bitterness lingers but is not overwhelming.

Dark orange, creamy off white head (great lacing left behind). Soft toasted toffee and candied orange peel aromas warm to lighter floral earthy pine-like notes. Sturdy floral citric hop bite up front with a well balanced caramel malt backbone. Medium bodied, medium carbonation, bittersweet finish. A very well done session IPA...

12 oz can thanks to bhensonb. Pours a clear copper color with a small head. The aroma is great; loads of citrus and pine hops with a strong caramel component. The flavor is similar; lots of caramel malts, a aggressive hop presence as well both citrus flavors and lots of bitterness, Balanced very well. I like this beer a lot.

can from the wooden keg. this one sits in the rack next to the dales at the keg, however, i can’t put them in the same league. the caldera is very good. nice cans.

Sampled from 12-oz aluminum can during Dark Lord Day ’09 at table 2. Pours a semi-clear golden-orange colored brew with a thick off-white head that slowly dissipates. Aroma of grapefruit, pineapple, tangerine, a touch of caramel malt, and some light alcohol. Taste is medium bodied, plenty of citrus bitterness that overpowers the caramel malt flavors. Finish is citrus bitter that lingers well after the finish. A west-coast IPA throughout.

(12oz can) Large fluffy off-white head atop clear amber body, nice lacing. Aroma is moderately sweet, pineapple, grapefruit/orange. Taste is moderately sweet, grapefruit, some grass, peach, caramel. Smooth medium body, lots of resin, light acidity.

Can. Golden- orange colour with an off-white head. Aroma is grapefruit, hop, flower. Flavour is hop, grapefruit, hop, malt, flower. Full bodied nice beer.
