maxa9 (20), , Washington, USA Apr 8, 2009 Solid beer, perfect for the golf course! Can, in a snifter. Decanting this beer didn’t change the aroma or flavor. Grapefruit. Bitter finish. Heavy body for an IPA. drfabulous (1212), Columbia, Missouri, USA Apr 7, 2009 Hoppy. Grapefruit. Honey. Malty. A very nice IPA that would make a great session beer (if you are like me and want hop bomb session beers). Enjoyable. yngwie (4880), Kristiansand, Norway Mar 31, 2009 Can. An almost clear, orange-golden beer, topped by a finger-thick off-white head. Peaches, flowers, pinecones and some maltyness in the aroma. Sure on the hoppy side. The flavor is much the same, not much room left for the malty flavors. Full-bodied and quite dry, finishing with a fine, resiny, hoppy bitterness. Another lovely canned beer, but maybe a bit one-dimensional. Good refreshing qualities in addition to be very tasteful. (090327) pnista (1008), Bloomington, Indiana, USA Mar 27, 2009 Canned, hurrah! Pours a pink tinged copper with a quickly thinning offwhite head. The nose is full of hops. Floral to tropical fruit/pineapple. Plenty of malt, a little hoppy astringency, maybe a touch of alcohol. Citrus, Creamy to medium body with higher average carbonation. The flavor is on par with the nose. Rather hoppy, perhaps slightly astringent. Very citrus and pine. Malt is just enough to bring it into some slight balance, but still overpowered. Long lingering grapefruit and light toast. I’m a fan. joeyplush (328), Garnet Valley, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 27, 2009 Clear coppy color with off white head. Unique aroma - very grassy, with some underlying citrus and malt. Taste is more citrusy but with a malty balance in the finish. Slight grapefruit bite in the finish but not at all bitter - this is a very solid beer. maniac (2628), Richmond, Virginia, USA Mar 24, 2009 Can from Once Upon A Vine - South on 02/17/2009. Very clear copper amber body with a medium creamy off-white head. Big citrus and floral hop aroma. Big floral hop flavor with some nutty and caramel notes. Medium body with moderate carbonation.
Immy (1912), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA Mar 10, 2009 12 oz can. Clear amber with a thick white head - a pretty pour. Nose is grassy, floral and a bit citrusy. Excellent sheetlike lace. Flavor is very dry, bitter grapefruit rind backed by a biscuity, bready maltinesss. An odd, earthy sweetness comes through late, then some tannic qualities emerge in the finish. A nice drinker! ben4321 (955), Rockville, Maryland, USA Mar 10, 2009 Location: 12 oz can from Gilly’s 3/10/09...Enjoyed the can design (Not that it means much)
Aroma: Citrus, pine, hops
Appearance: Dark gold/orange, medium white head
Flavor: Nice hops flavor, feels fresh, some slight citrus fruitiness (lemon, grapefruit), nice malty backing
Palate: Light/Medium Body, great smooth feel and finish
Overall Impression:
This was an enjoyable IPA, crisp and clean beer that would be great for outdoor drinking, tailgates, back yard parties. I liked it a lot, really nice beer.
