The nose is blooming with citrus and pine, ample hops. The malts are a little lighter. Some toastiness in the flavor along with plenty of bitters in the tail. I like the straight to the point west-coast IPA style hoppiness of this one. Easy drinking too for an IPA. I could drink a 6er. Sparky27 (1588), Phoenix, Arizona, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 11, 2008 Can! Pours a clear amber with 2 finger creamy head. Nose is floral hops and sour grapefruit. Taste is grapefruit upfront that finishes with a bitter resin that lasts for a while. Not a lot of malt so it’s a bit unbalanced but it gets bonus points coming from a can. Lighter mouth feel. Decent stuff. DTM (541), Winters, California, USA

I was pleasantly surprised to see a beer of such quality pour out of a can. At first the taste of bitter hops hits your tongue and you think this is a great beer, but unfortunately it leaves strong bitter flavor on the back of your tongue. Good, but could be better. timfoolery (484), California, USA

I wanted to say good things about this brew, as many in Ashland rave about this company. Unfortunately, the more you drink it, the more the bitterness of the hops sticks to the back of your tongue. It was an odd sensation to say the least. Never happened to me before. Maybe because it’s canned?? jake65 (1698), Williston, North Dakota, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 21, 2008 Can: Deep copper color with a large sandy colored foamy head. Bright citrus notes with plenty of grapefruit and just a hint of pine. At first I thought that the flavor was subdued on the hops (after a great aroma), but still maintains a decent grapefruit and citrus presence. A smooth maltiness mellows out the flavor before a mild, yet lingering bitters trailer. Drinkable and flavorful IPA; and great from a can! ABUSEDGOAT (1934), California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 20, 2008 Amber colored. Aroma is typical PNW goodness with grapefruit, citrus, pine, etc. Caramel backing. Moderate bitterness, medium bodied, quite drinkable. masonjer (563), Holt, Michigan, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 19, 2008 Thanks Brewdad for a chance at this one. IPA in a can, Yay. Poured a very clear and filtered dark yellow/orange. Smell was great, nice tropical notes, bitter as well. Taste was hop forward peach and mango, just enough balancing malt with a big bitter finish. Great beer from a can, up their with the best canned beers I have had. Nice IPA here. ¾ (4999), Colorado, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 14, 2008 12oz can. Clear light orange color. Intense nose of dry, minerally yeast combined with juicy grapefruit crystal hops is an appetizing and fruity aroma. Juicy hop cones throughout - notes of pineapple, dry peach skin, grassy and dank. Medium body, nice dryness developing late. Really good.
