Pours medium burnished coppery amber with a decent, brief little whitish head. Nice forward nose of resiny bitter goodness. Medium body, a bit fizzy but not obnoxiously so. Plenty of mild biscuit and resin on the mid-palate and the finish. A worthy effort. biz82 (1328), austin, Texas, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 30, 2008 Can. Quite clear dark gold with active carbonation and a perfect 3/8" stable head. Best looking beer from a can that I’ve seen. Dank citrus hop aroma, resinous with some herbal notes. Ever so smooth with perfect bitterness and forward hop flavor that rises to the occasion with floral, grapefruit and pine notes. Moderate body. Has a lingering sweet malt and bitter resinous hop finish that makes you want more. Great IPA. gunhaver (1025), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 28, 2008 Updated: Jun 5, 2008Can, courtesy riversideAK. Pours a crystal clear copper color. Well-carbonated. Thick white head, like cotton candy. Dry lacing. Pine aromas, and a sharp, Simcoe-like cat uriney sting. Grapefruit is there, too. Pine hop flavors, caramel, grapefruit. Acidic, bitter finish. A delicious IPA. Crisp to the touch, with a nice medium-body. Easy-going. Sticky mouthfeel. Very enjoyable. BeerZack (116), Austin, Texas, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 28, 2008 Clear orange-copper, or weak iced-tea in color with fine foamy covering that leaves some nice lace.
Nice perfumy cascade-like aroma. Some citrus, pine and floral hops.
Assertively hoppy. Lots of woodsy pine and some citrus peel. Kinda astringent bitter finish.
Slightly stingy aggressive carbonation does not help the already astringent character of the beer.
Pretty drinkable, despite the astringent impression. RCL (1460), Waltham, Massachusetts, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Mar 22, 2008 Aroma has a real "hempy" angle to it, if you catch my drift. Fairly sweet and malty for an IPA, but it balances out the hops nicely. Pretty good stuff. CelticBrew (691), The Crystal Coast, North Carolina, USA

Aroma of hops, caramel, flowers, and lightly toasted malts. Yummy, flavour of light caramel malts, hops with some pine resin character. Nice and grassy, with a slight citrus ending. Rather smooth beer, glad I have two more in the fridge.
A well made and flavourful IPA!

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 9, 2008 Can. Coppery amber color with a decent off-white head. Citrus hop aroma; strong. Near medium in body with creamy carbonation. Flavor is rather grapefruit over some roasted malt. Finish is nicely bitter. Perhaps a little harsh, but you don’t get IBUs without assaulting the cells. A really good IPA.
