| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 17, 2009 Can thanks to the bosses had at home. Alround rating: Big grassy citrusy bittering hop, fairly peppery and drying, the malt is more pale honey almost than the usual caramalt, but interesting stuff all the same. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 17, 2009 12 oz. can from John’s Market Place. Nice coppery/brown color. Nice thin head sitting on top. This is a good looking IPA. Ctirus hop aroma with a subtle fruit aroma. Not really smelling the pine hop aroma as some are, but I am sure tasting it. Smooth beer with a nice malt backing that keeps it slightly fruity. The citrus hops are immediately noticeable. The bittering hop just lingers. There is this lingering pine hop that is great. Well balanced IPA. For me it could be slightly more hoppy, but then again it is so well balanced I can’t argue that. Good beer, and when I am out on the West Coast next time I plan on investing in more of this stuff.
