Can at home. Pours orange amber with a white head. Sweet malty aroma, hops. Harsh bitter hops taste, malts, pine, bit of citrus. Drinkable, but not very fruity.

Pours from the can a hazy orange with a nice white head that leaves a bit of lacing. Smells of pine and citrus, with maybe a touch of malt. The aroma follows the taste with hop-forward pine, grapefruit and a bit of sweetness. The malt does a nice job of moderating the hops without overwhelming them. Medium mouth with lots of aftertaste. I can’t believe it’s taken me so long to try this one. It’s a very good IPA.

12 oz can from De Bierkoning @ home on this very hot day. Nice to have some very affordable US craftbrew in NL. Amber color, hazy. Off white, rocky & sticky head. Aroma’s: upon opening the can strong resin, which quickly makes way for red fruit & caramel malts. Retronasal there’s caramel, (red) fruit, hoppy acidity and the resin is coming back!. Flavor is moderate sweet and rather bitter. Medium bodied, good carbo. Finishes with a lasting, dry, firm bitterness. The weather called for a more crisp (less sweet) ipa, but still very nice!

Nice astringent biting bitterness. Aroma of resin is there, but not too exciting, quite subtle. Nice bitter beer, good drinker, not too incredible.

Copper colour with light haze and dense head. The aroma is strong with plenty of tropical fruits. By comparison the flavour is a little muted. Caramel, resin, bittersweet.

Hoppy aroma of malts, light caramel, tropical fruits. Flavour is tropical fruits, a little sweetness, with a nicely strong bitter aftertaste. Simply a very good IPA.

can. pours slightly hazy but bright golden orange with a small creamy light beige orange head, good retention and lacing. peppery caramel, soft resin and pine, quite fruity - spiced apple pie and peaches in syrup, touch of mapla syrup, pepper and coffee grinds. moderate carbonation, light body - oily, balanced grassy-citrusy-piney finish. not really my thang but quite nicely crafted.

On tap. A: Copper color with a thin white head. Minor lacing. N: Grapefruit, pine, black peppercorn, wheat, cracker, and biscuit. Earth and leaves. T: Bitter and spicy. Moderating malt. M: Dry, medium body. Slight resin, O: An old school west coast IPA. Definitely on the spicier side of things; reminds me of Deschutes’ offerings.
