Shipped to my by my wife on a trip out west. Sampled from a 12 oz can this beer poured a dark orange-amber color with huge beige head that lingered and produced great lacing. The aroma was sweetish grapefruit and pine with a light nutty undertone. The flavor was solid grapefruity and piney hops with sweet malts, lemon, nut and caramel elements blending nicely beneath the everpresent hoppiness. the finish was long and hoppy. Fairly full bodied. Quite solid.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 EithCubes (3340) - GERMANY - MAY 9, 2009
Can! Heavy grass and PNW hop aroma with some caramel and light resin. Clear amber-orange with a tiny-bubbled frothy beige head. Taste is bittersweet, muddled and dulled (I)IPA, ala an aged Dreadnaught, which really isn’t a bad thing. Full body, a touch of alcohol showing through. Enjoyable beer, don’t want another.

12oz can, thanks to SDbruboy, cliff. pours slight haze-golden with white head. nose is extremely citrusy and piney. flavor are piney, grassy, lemon-citrus, and slightly grainy. decent ipa but i dont like the hop profile as they are a bit too heavy on the grassy and citrus notes.

Can from K&L Redwood City. Pours a bright medium amber color with a two-finger, lasting off-white head and good lacing. Aroma is piney and citrusy hops, a touch of sweet malt, and tropical fruits. Flavor is a little pale and caramel malt, but mostly showcases a complex hop profile, with pine, pineapple, orange, and grapefruit. Very bitter. Crisp palate with medium body and carbonation. Best canned IPA I’ve had after Surly Furious.

Can from Santa. Thanks! Pours a semi-thin cheddar orange with a lively body and a head of white that leaves a nice latticework of lacing around the glass. Aroma is almost pure hopyy grapefruit; hints of pine and orange are in there as well but the dominant figure here is grapefruit. Flavor is dominated by the aforementioned frut, with bits of orange and pine in the finish. Full, coating, tingly mouthfeel. A great IPA; I want more of this.

12oz can. Clear amber color with a big off-white head. Crisp citrus hop aroma with a bit of malt. Bitter hop flavor with tons of citrus and malt calming on the back end. Cheers to another canned beer that really impresses.

Pretty tasty IPA. Great citrus flavor. Solid flavors, juicy and wholesome, with nips of lemon, grapefruit, and tangerine. Bit of pine and grass, too. Solid malt backbone has caramel, cocoa powder and a subtle smack of honey. Great balance and fitting bitterness level.
