I like it. The hop oils aren't distracting, and it has an easier finish than many IPAs.

Pours a light amber color. Great head, that showed great retention. A wonderful nose with strong grapefruit and citrus aromas. Flavor is top notch. Aromas from the nose carry through to the flavor here. Grapefruit, and citrus. Plenty of hop character, but honestly not as bitter as I had expected. Mouthfeel is light, with medium to light carbonation. This beer is delicious. A great American West Coast IPA. It will certainly be a new staple in my fridge.

An excellent IPA, filled with light fruit and backed by a soft caramel maltiness. Finishes clean like a west coaster should. Love this canned beer.

Just discovered this at whole foods. Recommended by an employee there. What a great find. Excellent hoppy taste. Smooth drinking. Go out and get it.

Clear dark orange pour. Thin head. Crisp floral aroma. Medium bodies and well balanced malt to hold up the huge hop flavor. Crisp and great west coast flavor

Had this at 12th South Taproom, then Picked up a 6 pack ($12.99) the next day. This would be an everyday beer if it wasn’t so expensive. Hopefully the price will come down as distribution increases. A good amount of hops. Has a soft finish that seems common in canned craft beers. Coincidence?

A: A clear amber color with a nice fluffy white head. The lacing on this beer is absolutely incredible.
S: An amazing smell. The smell reminds me of homebrewing. It feels as though I’ve got a big chunk of fresh Simcoe and Amarillo hops that I’m about to toss into the boil. Very piney and citrusy. Different aromas, but on par with Pliny and Sculpin.
T: The Simcoe train doesn’t stop at the nose. Plenty of bitterness and a nice grapefruit flavor as well. Not quite as good as the nose, but almost.
M: This is the one area I think the beer falls a bit short. The body is on the thin/watery side, but the carbonation levels are fine.
D: This is one of my new favorite IPAs. This is a great IPA for just sipping on or drinking during a hot day. I think I’ll pick up a six pack the next time I see it.

[355ml aluminium can, Beers of Europe, Kings Lynn] Impressive pillowy peaked head that retains for a long time, the aroma is fantastic – bursting hops and sweetness, pine freshness. This all combines beautifully on the palate, the hop combination really delivers. Alcohol is pretty modest for the above session-strength abv, has an easy, pine-laden aftertaste. The crispness is fantastic, citrus and pine with a touch of sweetness – one of the nicest and most drinkable IPA’s I’ve ever sampled. If only it was readily available in the UK – I would certainly take it rafting, biking, fishing (if I did any of those things). [03/06/2010]

Big ups to Cellar here in Norman. Perhaps the ONLY sure shop in this region. I poured the cold can into my New Belgium globe glass. It’s clear, rich amber with lots of sticky orange-tan head. Plenty of resonous hops in the nose, tingly and potent. The flavor is like sucking on a penny made of french toast...? It’s got that bitter tang, but it’s not really metallic. Nice sweet, crusty bread flavor arrives as it warms. Full bodied, it will stick to your tongue. And 6.1%!

Very nice IPA. Tasted from a can, purchased while visiting Oregon with Duffman.
