Can. Poured orange with a fluffy off-white head that settled to a ring and left light lace. Great pine and floral aroma. The flavor had an even mix of pine and caramel. Medium body and a medium bitterness throughout.

12 oz can. Clear amber with a thick white head - a pretty pour. Nose is grassy, floral and a bit citrusy. Excellent sheetlike lace. Flavor is very dry, bitter grapefruit rind backed by a biscuity, bready maltinesss. An odd, earthy sweetness comes through late, then some tannic qualities emerge in the finish. A nice drinker!

Piney, grassy aroma, with hints of sweet caramel. Pours pale amber with a thick fluffy head, very dense and long lasting. Piney flavor upfront, crystal malts and some caramel flavors, hints of citrus. Overall a solid IPA and a great looking can!

12oz can. Pours a beautiful amber/orange with a soft, off white head. Exceedingly well balanced flavors for an IPA, great bitterness, probably a bit more on the resiny/spruce side of things than herbal or citrus. Seems to have a hint of juniper or maybe pepper. Tough to say. Nice lacing and a lingering, dry finish. Great example of a west coast IPA and likely one of the best. Way to go Ashland! Now you have something besides the Shakespeare Festival to be proud of.

Can. An almost clear, orange-golden beer, topped by a finger-thick off-white head. Peaches, flowers, pinecones and some maltyness in the aroma. Sure on the hoppy side. The flavor is much the same, not much room left for the malty flavors. Full-bodied and quite dry, finishing with a fine, resiny, hoppy bitterness. Another lovely canned beer, but maybe a bit one-dimensional. Good refreshing qualities in addition to be very tasteful. (090327)

A very solid IPA. A little too aggressively hoppy for my taste, but then I’m not the biggest hophead around. I drank some from the can and some from a mug. Nose is nice and citrusy, nice foaming head which leaves some lacing just over the nice brown, hazy coloring.

Clear amber, frothy beige head. Aroma of grapefruit, pine, flowers, and other sweet citrus. Taste is citrus and pine, the citrus is very sweet but there are a lot of bitter hops to balance. Smooth texture and soft carbonation.
