BeerZack (116), Austin, Texas, USA Mar 28, 2008 Clear orange-copper, or weak iced-tea in color with fine foamy covering that leaves some nice lace.
Nice perfumy cascade-like aroma. Some citrus, pine and floral hops.
Assertively hoppy. Lots of woodsy pine and some citrus peel. Kinda astringent bitter finish.
Slightly stingy aggressive carbonation does not help the already astringent character of the beer.
Pretty drinkable, despite the astringent impression.
Ibrew2or3 (1685), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA Aug 24, 2008 Can pours clear gold with copper core and white head of foam. The aroma is malty and biscuit maltiness mixed with some pine, tangelo and other assorted citrus notes. The taste begins with a pulse of malt sweetness as pine and grapefruit hop bitterness build quickly to midway. It ends a bit dry with lingering hop bitterness into the after taste. Tasty brew with nice hoppiness and moderate malty backbone. fishingnet (803), Brandon, Florida, USA Aug 17, 2008 Can courtesy of I think Ibrew2or3. Pours a clear copper with a one finger off-white head that leaves good lacing. Aroma of citrus and floral hops with sweet malt and a hint of caramel. Taste is the same as aroma. Medium mouthfeel with a moderate amount of bitterness. Very good. BückDich (4540), Boise, Idaho, USA Aug 17, 2008 Can: Pours a nice golden bronze color with a puffy white head and good lacing. The nose is blooming with citrus and pine, ample hops. The malts are a little lighter. Some toastiness in the flavor along with plenty of bitters in the tail. I like the straight to the point west-coast IPA style hoppiness of this one. Easy drinking too for an IPA. I could drink a 6er. Sparky27 (516), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Aug 11, 2008 Can! Pours a clear amber with 2 finger creamy head. Nose is floral hops and sour grapefruit. Taste is grapefruit upfront that finishes with a bitter resin that lasts for a while. Not a lot of malt so it’s a bit unbalanced but it gets bonus points coming from a can. Lighter mouth feel. Decent stuff. DTM (365), Winters, California, USA Aug 7, 2008 Can from Market of Choice in Ashland, OR. I was pleasantly surprised to see a beer of such quality pour out of a can. At first the taste of bitter hops hits your tongue and you think this is a great beer, but unfortunately it leaves strong bitter flavor on the back of your tongue. Good, but could be better.
