spikester (435), Salem, Oregon, USA Mar 8, 2008 Really nice full aroma to this IPA. Earthy hops with sweet malt scent, slightly floral.
Poured from the twelve ounce can with a nice full amber color with a good one inch of head, good amount of lacing.
Flavor is one of citrus hops trading off with sweet toasted malts. Hops carry the load but not by too much.
Palate is smooth with full body.
Overall a nice IPA is not so hopped up you can’t taste anything else. Well done Caldera. Well recommended.
SuzyGreenberg (1028), Seattle, Washington, USA Sep 30, 2008 12 oz. can - pours amber and crystal clear; huge, frothy white head takes a bit to settle; raw, pine and fruity hops; aromas are rich and thick; pretty bitter, but lots to the body as well so it has a rich texture to it; drinks very smooth and not too resinous; tons of hops here though and a great IPA overall oh6gdx (6332), Vaasa, Finland Sep 30, 2008 Canned. Papsoe (10285), Frederiksberg, Denmark Sep 25, 2008 (Can 35,5 cl) Clear warm amber golden with a tall and dense off-white head leaving some laces. Very fat and peachy hop aroma. Medium-bodied with sweetish caramel and an aromatic hoppiness that add a solid hop bite. Very well crafted. 180908 omhper (10728), Stockholm, Sweden Sep 25, 2008 Canned at Stockholm Beer Festival. Deep golden with firm head. Sweaty hoppy nose. Interesting hop flavour combination of lychee, hay and sweat. Fairly soft with medium bodiy and dense chewy malt structure. Very bitter finish. A well made beer throughout. The powerfuk hops are nicely carried by the rich malt. Ungstrup (11354), Frederiksberg, Denmark Sep 22, 2008 Can at Stockholm Beer Festival 2008.
