COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer gets its name from the Hopunion Hop Hash nuggets - pure hop lupulin extracted and scraped from the Hopunion pelletizing line, then boiled for 90 minutes in the kettle. According to the brewer, this has never been done before! Premium 2-row, Great Western Munich, Crisp 60L and rolled oats comprise the grain bill designed to carry this load. Fermented warm using American Ale yeast to bring out the fruitiness, the resulting beer is designed to be a surprise on all fronts. Even the brewer has no idea how hoppy it’ll be.

22oz bottle $4.99 and marked at 6.5% ABV. Copper color, decent head, smells boring. Slight bit of hops and malt, really underwhelming. The taste was a step up, decent bitterness, hops, chewy malt and a thickness that is good. Definitely feels more like a string pale ale rather than an IPA. Not bad at all. 22 ounce bottle purchased at The Davis Beer Shoppe. No clue how old or new this is, but they just got it in. Light resiny piney hop aromas are present, but the nose is dominated by a husky, woody, papery maltiness. Not so sure about the aroma on this. Unfiltered, moderately hazy ruddy-copper body with a strong, off-white head. Starts with a bit or a stale, papery, cardboardy flavoring, before this becomes pretty dry, bitter, and astringent towards the finish. Light soapiness in the middle. Not really balanced, and not the best experiment I have ever tried. Meh.

Bomber to taster (thanks bunker). Looks malty; a hazy burnt-orange with fluffy off-white head. Smells MALTY with notes of hops. Tastes like it smells, only less hoppy and thin. Not a good beer, but it may not be very fresh.

Not a bad ipa at least this batch very bitter on back of tongue not to much for a hop head but probably for others. Pretty pleasant good head ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

22oz bottle. Rating #48. Dark copper pour with a big beige head that left some nice lacing. Big juicy grapefruit and tropical aroma, really nice. Moderate bitterness, more grapefruit. Not as much tropical flavor as there was in the aroma, still very nice with a bitter aftertaste. (2536)

650ml bomber pours a pale amber color with a finger of white head that retains well and leaves some spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma is pine and citrus with some caramel and cereal grains. Taste is a bold pine and citrus hop bitterness with a nice balance of caramel malt and fruity sweetness. A nicely done IPA that is quite tasty with a medium body and light carbonation. Recommended.

Pale amber pour. The nose is quite bright. A bit of citrus and some light spice. Pine bitterness and a little bit of soft spice. Not all that aromatic but intensely bitter. Okay but not all that characterful. As it warms there’s a bit of soft fruitiness that improves the beer significantly. Fruity and a little bit bitter.

Pours a hazy orange with a white head. Soft citrus aroma. Nice bitterness that fades smoothly into a long dry finish.

Bottle. Poured orange with a creamy beige head that settled to a ring and left good lacing. Aroma of citrus backed with sweet malts. The flavor found floral citrus hop and a caramel backing. Light to medium body, mild bitterness, and light toasted aftertaste.
