Kettle Series. When hopportunity knocks, answer it. This ale is Caldera’s rendition of answering the Pacific Northwest call for a @*! pile of Centennial hops with a big beer to back it up. Don’t get left out in the cold, open up and fill the void within you . . .

This is an outstanding little Lager. Crisp refreshing and low abv so although I'm having it for the first time at a beer bar, I picture myself drinking copious amounts of this beer at a summer cookout. Wonderful. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured from bottle into a pint glass Appearance – The beer pours a golden amber color with a small head of white foam. The head has a decent level of retention fading to leave a little bit of foamy lace on the sides of the glass. Smell – The aroma of the brew is strongest of a bready smell mixed with some aromas of grapefruit and grassy hops. Along with these aromas comes some sweeter caramel and a little bit of melon smell. Taste – The taste begins very bready with a rather strong showing of a caramel sweetness as well as a decent grapefruit hop. As the taste advances some sweeter fruit tastes of a tropical fruit nature (tangerine, mango, and papaya) take the place of the caramel sweetness with even more hop of a grapefruit nature coming to the tongue and being joined by a little bit of grass and herb. At the end some tastes of pine and earth join the hop profile and leave one with a rather malty, but hop balanced taste to linger on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is on the average side with a carbonation level that is average as well. For the nice mix of hop and malty flavors the feel is quite nice and creates a rather pleasant feel that accentuates the qualities of the brew well. Overall – A rather tasty IPA overall. Nothing that will blow your mind, but overall very tasty and balanced even in light of its more malty body.

Can. Pours deep golden with a great head, thick, rocky and white. Quite a bit of malt in the aroma, caramel and nuts. Also hops, pine and some grapefruit. Nice palate, medium body and carbonation, long bitter finish. Predominantly bitter, a lot of pine in the flavour and some malty sweetness. I like this beer a lot.

Clear copper pour with nice white head and good lace. Nose of tropical fruits, citrus, and caramel. Flavor is much the same with a touch of spice. Nice bitter finish.

Medium aroma of malts, caramel, pine and hops.

Turbid/opaque orange/brown beer with a slight/medium beige head.

Starts medium sweet with malts, caramel and pine; ends slightly bitter with hops.

This beer is rather intense and balanced, but lacks complexity. Centennial and malts are what define this beer, but it tastes great and the palate is creamy.

In short: bitter resinous ale.
Pours hazy amber with nice off white head. Moderate head retention, little lacing. Malty, DMS nose. Medium body, average carbonation, crispy texture. Bitter and some dry aftertaste.

Can. Pours amber with off white head. Aroma is sweet malty caramel hops. Taste is sweet honey burnt sugar/caramel grapefruit piney with sweet piney finish. It’s pretty balanced and good but just not my preferred style.
