Bomber from Malt & Vine. Pours light gold with a foamy white head. Aroma is slightly bready and mildly grassy. Medium body with moderate carbonation. Flavor is light malt, with a little (very little) spicy hop. There’s a bit of paper when the liquid flows away, but it is decently bitter. Spiceily so? Tettnang? Definitely drinkable.

This one was not good, and for a kettle series, I’d like to see a beer that isn’t phoned in. Pours pale gold with 2-finger white head. Not much in the nose or taste, slightly better than Bud or Coors, but this beer isn’t worth pissing on if it was on fire (although drinking it will cost you 2 piss breaks due to the volume and wateryness).

Bottle:   I initially thought this was infected as the head exploded when I poured it.   Nope, just overcarbonated.   Pale straw, slight haze, HUGE frothy white head, nice lacing, very strong carbonation.   Soft grassy nose, a little straw and hay.   Very faint floral notes.   Super smooth on the tongue, albiet very prickly because of the carbonation.   Has a grassy/straw background, yet its not terribly strong.   Clean, and flavor enough to last past the finish.   This is one of the better Pale Lagers I have had.   Has a smidgen of floral/fruity notes as well.   This would be too easy to drink on a hot day, but not too fast or else you might burp up your lunch!

12 ounce can. Pours a clear yellow color with a small white head. a light grainy nose. The flavor is sweet corn, husky grains, light lemons, smooth. A easy going pale lager, a bit of a metallic bitter finish that isn’t pleasant. OK.

Can. Clear golden color with fizzy white head. Peppery, salty, dusty pils malt aromas. Medium bodied with average co2. White bread, sweet pale malt, peppery herbal flavors___not bad.

I thoroughly enjoyed this. I guess I was the only one. It is a pale lager, that does not mean it is bad. Probably the best pale lager I’ve ever had. Nose is that of light grainy malt, cereal, grass, and a hint of lemon. Pours very pale golden with not much head. The flavor has hints of light grain, cereal, a touch of sourdough bread, and light grassy crispness in the finish. Light bodied, super sessionable, very enjoyable. I wish I had more.

Bomber. Pours a golden body with a white head. Thin crisp and grain y with a light apple and earth citrus note. Sweet with a light hop character. Very basic and probably quite refreshing after a good mow, to bad there is 2 feet of snow outside, oh well.

Bottle: Clear yellow with an average white head. The nose is toasty with a light touch of hops. The flavor has a fairly malty body with a nice dose of diacetyl which might seem a little bad, but it adds to the otherwise thin flavor and body. Not bad! Finishes clean, nice lager.
