Sampled on 1/15/2011. This pale lager pours a light gold color from a 22oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is grainy, spicy and sweet with a touch of corn. A medium to light bodied pale lager. The malts are bready, cereal and slightly sweet. The hops are floral and spicy. Lively carbonation. It’s a pale lager, and there are some adjuncts here, but this is a very light, refreshing and flavorful beer. Crisp and clean, with a nice lively mouthfeel and a crisp dry finish. Very drinkable and would be a great beer on a hot day. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean, crisp and dry. Aftertaste is slightly bitter, with a little bit of residual sweetness. I like this one a lot.

I thoroughly enjoyed this. I guess I was the only one. It is a pale lager, that does not mean it is bad. Probably the best pale lager I’ve ever had. Nose is that of light grainy malt, cereal, grass, and a hint of lemon. Pours very pale golden with not much head. The flavor has hints of light grain, cereal, a touch of sourdough bread, and light grassy crispness in the finish. Light bodied, super sessionable, very enjoyable. I wish I had more.

22oz bottle, purchased at Harry and David’s Medford. Pours a clear, pale straw color; effervescent; small-bubbled white head with decent retention and lacing, glistening. A lightly honeyed malt character in the nose, with a moderate grassy and mineral hop character; nicely balanced and crisp; clean fermentation; a pretty engaging, solid expression of its ingredients. Medium-light body; lively carbonation; just a touch of a carbonic bite; very engaging, hugely drinkable feel in the mouth; possible hints of appropriately placed DMS/acetaldehyde notes, but very light; modest, crisp, toasty maltiness (lightly honeyed, light sugar), along with that grassy, mineral hop note; relatively clean, quite enjoyable pale lager; hugely drinkable and that grassiness almost suggests dry-hopping. Nicely toasty, dry finish: crisp, very toasty, very mild mineral bitterness at the far end.

Bottle:   I initially thought this was infected as the head exploded when I poured it.   Nope, just overcarbonated.   Pale straw, slight haze, HUGE frothy white head, nice lacing, very strong carbonation.   Soft grassy nose, a little straw and hay.   Very faint floral notes.   Super smooth on the tongue, albiet very prickly because of the carbonation.   Has a grassy/straw background, yet its not terribly strong.   Clean, and flavor enough to last past the finish.   This is one of the better Pale Lagers I have had.   Has a smidgen of floral/fruity notes as well.   This would be too easy to drink on a hot day, but not too fast or else you might burp up your lunch!

Bottle. Powered pale yellow with thin white head. Little lacing. Lekker aroma of new grass and malt. Light flavour, malt and a bit of spice. Medium finish some hoppiness. Light body. Good after a long day.

Bomber bought through craftbeer.se. Pours tiny hazy yellow with a rather small frothy and fizzy white head that quickly dissipates without leaving much trace on the glass. Smell is grainy and tiny herbal with crackers, cereal, hay, lemon zest and persimmon. Taste is slightly bitter, tiny malty and tiny herbal with crackers, mineral water, hay, lemon zest, orange zest, gooseberries and persimmon. Mouthfeel is dry, sparkling, round, tiny watery and light bodied. Finish is tiny bitter and tiny herbal with crackers, cereal, hay, lemon zest and mineral water. Really really refreshing. A well crafted true pale lager. Deserves a better average than it’s received. Went well with the semi-spicy food I’m having.

Can from bottleworks. Pours clear light yellow/gold with frothy white head, good retention and lacing. Grass, cracker, lemon, a bit of copper but nothing unpleasant. Moderately sweet, short crisp finish. Light body, lively carbonation. So crushable. Overall: this is a straightforward, surprisingly solid, low abv thirst quencher. I approve.

12 oz can pour. Pours a super light color with a faint lemon grassy aroma. Super easy drinking beer, as expected. Light bready flavor with some subtle grassy flavors as well. Just a tad sweet. Really sessionable beer for me. I could kill a ton of these watching football all day. Pretty impressive light beer for me. Enjoyed this.

22 oz bottle. Clear yellow with a pure white head. Light bready malt aroma with some noble grassy/herbal hops. Flavor is bitter with a nice malty character that comes in towards the end. Light body with active carbonation and a clean, crisp, refreshing mouth feel. Great light session beer that still has some flavor.
