Bottle at chucks, thanks to beastie. Pours murky caramel gold. Floral, caramel malty aroma. Taste is sweet. Light medium body, slick, overly sweet, avg carb. Orange, flowers, and creamy malts. Overall: shrug.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle shared at Chuck’s. Imperial Golden Ale? Why?
Gentle flowery nose, watery flavor. Gently sweet, wonderbread-crust malts. This was the one beer of the night that I couldn’t remember trying until I found my lost tasting notes. Unsurprising; it’s harmless enough and not epically bad -- but certainly nothing special.

Bottled. Golden pour and white even foam. Floral is no lie. Fruity and rose water taste.

Orange pour into a glass with a light white head. Nose is malty with a slight hop presence. Taste is kind of strange. I don’t know If it’s rose petal or what. Soapy. Meh.

Hazy gold beer, little white head. Palate is light, dry and crispy. Thin creamy malt, dry. Rose perfume, but not sweet sweet or cloying, nicely judged. Whisper of citrus. Finishes dry. Somewhat one dimensional but does what it says on the tin!

1.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Pours a clear gold/orange with a small white head.
Smells floral as expected with some malty sweetness too. Not really picking up heavy roses on the nose.
Tastes weirdly floral, but not good floral like a heavily cascade hopped beer. Hardly any hops at all, just a weird rose flavor. Good news is if I ever want this flavor again, I have a large rose bush in my front yard.
Undercarbonation leads to an even worse experience.
My first drain pour in quite a while. After a few sips these became way too overpowering and going through 22 oz wasn’t happening.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
A 22 oz bottle at Hometown Pizza in McCall, Idaho. This poured into my chilled shaker glass was clear dark gold with a medium sized head and light lacing. Nose is caramel malts with distinct floral notes from the rose petals. Light to medium body. Flavor is clean malts with some floral hops. No bitterness. The finish is of the rose water. Very refreshing beer on a hot summer day and went perfectly with the pizza.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
22 oz bottle poured into tiny rocks glass. Pours medium dark golden with thick off white head. Aroma is a bit of malt and big sweet floral rose notes. Amazing smell. Taste is rather pedestrian in comparison - mild slightly sweet malt and dry floral finish. Very little, if any, hops. Not sure what makes this imperial, but an interesting beer nonetheless. Much more rose in it than Rogue’s Mom Hef.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
22oz bottle pours a golden color with a thick frothy head. The froth tastes of rose and spices. The beer is a little overpowering with the rose flavor.
