I’m gonna acknowledge right off the bat that "Imperial Golden" just sounds ridiculous. No way around that. Besides, it isn’t even golden - it’s more of an orange. Anyway, it smells spicy, toasty, lightly floral, and peppery. Taste is fresh bread, peppercorns, and rose hips in the background. I get some cedery notes as it warms. Would definitely get again.

22oz bottle pours a golden color with a thick frothy head. The froth tastes of rose and spices. The beer is a little overpowering with the rose flavor.

Pours bright amber clear in color with a light sandy white head. The aroma brings pure roses from the rosewater and petals, very pure in the nose. The flavor brings an aged golden ale yeasty base with some roses in a sweet vague floral manner remaining. Unfortunately does not work very well with a few years on it.

Bottle. Pours an orange-gold color with a moderate head. A little malty in the nose, but an easy drink. Not a great taste, but not bad.

651mL thanks to MrLo. Pours a full haze orange golf. Medium off-white head with okay retention. Spotty lace. Nose is sharper Bloody Mary, very intense botanicals, Grandmas perfume with lavender and rose petals. Taste follows suit- thicker orange, dough, sweet candies, toffee, sharper floral botanicals and rose/lavender. Not bad. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Foggy orange golden color with ivory sheen. Herbal, floral, vegetal, dusty pale malt aromas. Light bodied. Decent honey biscuit, herbal, floral rose flavors--

Bomber from Sam’s, Durham. Interesting beer. Deep honey colored pour with a medium head that fades very quickly. Nose of dry hops, and what strongly suggests ginger. Mouthfeel a bit on the watery side, though it’s somewhat made up for with a prickly, fairly spicy palate. Taste is interesting, with lots of spicy flowers and that strong ginger vibe throughout. Not much of a sense of what the base beer is trying to do but an interesting one-off.

Bomber. Pours a hazy medium golden with a relatively decent head that dissipates fairly quickly. Aroma is instantly of rose water and very strong at that. no distinctive hop presence. Tastes sweet, like light sugar sweet and has a very strong taste of rosewater no noticeable bitterness. As it warms the rosewater aroma becomes stronger and becomes a bit cloying along with growing vegetal phenols from the yeast? The mouthfeel when served cold is fairly crisp and relatively dry, however as it warms it takes on a more slick mouthfeel. Nice to try if you’re looking for something completely different.

Bottle with Carla. Pours clear gold with fizzy white foam. Smells warm and mildly sweet with a touch of sweet malts and absolutely no hops. Tastes very mild with just a hint of bitterness. Mostly tastes lightly sweet because there’s so little hops, but there is something else that must be rose.

I don’t get rose from this so much as pepper. There is a floral component to the flavour but black pepper dominates the nose and especially the flavour. Quite dry. Medium light body. Clear deep golden with shy large bubbled head. This one just isn’t working for me. Tulip glass. Just above fridge temperature. Bottle.
