Bottle thanks to somebody, rating from my backlog. The smell is grains, caramel, fruits. The look is clear, reddish brown in color, and has a beige colored head. The taste is sweet, caramel, and fruits.

Dark red color, moderate head, some lace/retention. Aroma is yeast, dark sugar, light orange. Medium to full body, decent but strangely name.

Poured a deep brown with a small whispy head. Nose of faint orange. Not much orange in the mouth, but a pleasant dubbel quality.

P: Pours a dark mahogany body with khaki froth that settles to a solid mini cap. Spotted lacing. S: Sweet and roasty dark malt aroma with cocoa, candy sugar, coffee, vanilla, clove, oak, figs, prunes. Overall smell is stale sweetness. T/M: Starts of with syrupy sweetness of chocolate, dark fruits and then the bitter orange arrives that I missed in the nose followed by the roar of a spicy citrus liqueur. Caramel, belgian yeast and dark bread. Medium body with a small amount of carbonation. Finishes chalky with lingering coffee and orange bitters. O: This really reminds me more of a watered down milk stout with bitter citrus added. Personally I don’t like the orange addition. Not a huge fan if this but it was decent.

22 oz. bottle from Oliver’s Beverage Center, Albany, NY. Nice deep mahogany color thin a tan head that retained well. Served at cellar temperature. Nose is chocolate, burnt sugar, cardamom spice and a very light citrus aroma. Tastes of candi sugar, orange peel, Belgian yeast and strong caramel flavors. Medium in body with light creamy, dry texture (if that makes sense). Overall decent and different.

Bottle to flute Orange, but not citrusy, candied fruit, dark rum, and toasted malt. Very dark, but if held to a light you can see that it's a deep orangey red. Taste is yeasty and a little sweet, traces of nutmeg and earthiness, and a little bitterness; no trace of orange rind.

Bottle - Chocolate, orange, yeast and booze. Jet brown with a little beige head. Chocolate, dark fruit, brown sugar and a sweet mellow finish. I don’t get any orange. An odd but good Belgian.

Interesting take on a Belgian dubbel, or perhaps quad light. Not thick, not syrupy, but sweet albeit not overly so. Dark fruits in flavor, and indeed there is a slight infusion of orange and an orange zest accoutrement. My only complaint is perhaps I'm not getting enough Belgian yeast "zing."
