Black as black with a big chocolate aroma and whiskey doused over vanilla pudding. Moderately sweet, dark chocolate taste with an even bitterness and bits of alcohol heat around th edges. Cocoa and bourbon lingers. Naughty. Fun.

CBC 22oz bottle-pours black/mahogany with a brown head that laces. Aroma is rich chocolate/cocoa-dark malt. Taste is rich chocolate/cocoa/caramel-dark malt, earthy hops. Didn’t pickup any bourbon character.

Pours dark brown in color with a small off-white head. Intense vanilla and chocolate aroma to this. Just awesome. Plenty of oak and roasted malt character to go with it. Some slight toffee sweetness, too. The flavor has the same level of rich chocolate flavor and the vanilla from the barrel aging is a nice compliment. Just enough roast to keep it from being cloying. Really a nice beer.

Bottle. Very happy to get this bottle in a trade as the pisture looks very much like my old dog Kaci that passed a few years back. Pours a deep brown with a tan head that collars around the glass. Big chocolate notes in the nose. Not too much bourbon though. Wow, again the taste is loads of chocolate with a ever so slight bitterness as the end. The bourbon oak is there but is quite subtle. This is very good and I am really glad I got to try this. Cheers to you my sweet Kaci.

Bottle at our Cellar Dip party... Poured a dense black with a brown head. Aroma of dense, dark chocolate. Tasted like dark chocolate ice cream. Roasted malts, a hint of coffee. Very sweet, quite like a liquid dessert. Paired nice with a chocolate cake we hd with it. Dark, roasted malts, more chocolate in the finish.

Bottle shared at RBWG 2012. Pours a dark brown with light tan head. The aroma is roast and chocolate. Medium mouthfeel with a light roast and smokey finish. Easy to drink a very impressive Imperial porter from Caldera.

A nice presence of oak, vanilla, chocolate, small bit of coffee and roasted malt. Everything meshes together fantastic. A easy drinking brew with great taste. I would love another bottle of this stuff and I didn’t know Caldera made such a great beer.
