3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Dark chocolate black, inky but not thick. One inch of fuzzy cocoa-colored head sticks to the sides in thick globs. The nose is chocolate through and through. Cocoa powder and nibs, a hint of espresso, some vanilla, a touch of cola. Layered. Not a heavy flavor. Smooth cocoa leads, with bitter burnt roast rolling in soon after. A hint of vanilla and a touch of toasted wood in the form of coconut. Medium-light body ,mild carbonation.
Inoffensive and smooth, though not overly flavorful. Like a rock rubbed smooth by the lapping of a chocolate river.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle thanks to Jason for sharing. Dark brown pour with no head. Aromas are chocolate milk and vanilla. Tastes the same. Light to moderate sweetness. Just a touch of roast and oak in the finish. Good but I get very little bourbon in this.

Aroma is big, chocolatey, and a bit roasty. Brown with small tan head. Easy drinking and smooth, some chocolate, roast, and a bit of a woody finish.
Really nice stuff.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft. Aroma of LOTS of chocolate. Flavors of chocolate, some red wine, and finally some woodiness that seems to lift all of the beer?s sweetness off of the palate. Not super-complicated, but super good.

Bottle from AJ’s in Rochester New York. Pours a midnight black / brown, tan head that goes Dow to a thin layer and some small lace spots. Nose is creamy sod sweetness, vanilla maybe, lactose maybe. Tastes really sweet, touch of malt, milk chocolate. A little bitter, really smooth.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Had this one for almost a year now, picked it up at the brewery on a road-trip. The nose is one of the best chocolate aromas around, Southern Tiery almost with a little touch of booziness underneath. In the mouth it is rich and heavy wth a beautiful chocolate/vanilla flavor mingled with robust roast malts and hints of coffee. I am really impressed by this beer. Like a fantastic milkshake.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at Blue Monk in Buffalo, NY. Nice deep dark pour. Heavy on the chocolate, very much so. Sweet but not killer. Didn’t get a lot of the bourbon and oak, just a lot of nice chocolate. Would have again.
