Sampled at ESBLS. It poured a dark black/brown color with a tan head. The aroma was of roasted malts, chocolate and some bourbon from the barrell aging. The taste was of chocolate, some slight coffee notes and a touch of licorice. Awesome.

What can you say? A truly superlative beer. Chocolate comes right up front in both aroma and taste, slight tingle of alcohol warmth at the finish. Sweet and smooth, chocolate lingers on the tongue. This is one to savor.

Dark glowing brown but unable to be seen through. Huge choco-nut aromas. Big in your face melted dark rich chocolate with a bourbon malt back. Smooth bittersweet richness.

FROTHINGSLOSH (4971) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 4, 2014
From the June 2013 3R6P tasting. +++ Sampled from a 22 oz brown bottle this beer poured a black color with faint orange highlights and a large foamy tan head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was cookie dough, strong chocolate, marshmallow, toasty malts and marzipan. The flavor was very strong cocoa, vanilla, toasty malts, marzipan and a bit of wood. Long chocolate and toasty malt finish. Thick full and creamy body. Excellent.
