Caldera’s "Mogli" was inspired by the loss of a dear friend. This is a chocolate, bourbon, oak-aged Imperial Porter. Mogli is complex, sweet, chocolatey, big and full of unconditional love! Sure to warm your heart. Served in a 10 ounce wine glass. Aromat: czekolada mleczna (nieco sztuczna), trochę alkoholu i... Tyle. Brak nut beczkowych, bourbona etc. Ogólnie przyjemny, ale skromny. Barwa: czarna, nieprzejrzysta. Piana beżowa, drobno pęcherzykowa, średniej wielkości i umiarkowanie trwała. Smak: umiarkowana słodycz, z lekką kwaskowością. Następnie czekolada, kakao, kawa cappuccino i nuta alkoholowa. Konsystencja nieco oleista. Przyjemny i mocno czekoladowy porter z wzbudzającą zaufanie etykietą. mam jednak wątpliwości co do jego świeżości.

Draught at the Caldera Brewing Co, Ashland, CA. Dark reddish brown colour with a small tan head. Dark chocolate, milk chocolate, nougat, marmalade sweetness and toasted malt in the aroma. Chocolate, chocolate liqueur, woody dryness, marmalade sweetness, mild whiskey notes and toasted malt in a great flavour. Tasty. Full of flavours. Rich. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottled. 5cl sample. The aroma has lots of milk chocolate. Dark brown coloured beer with an off-white head. The taste is ligh bitter, quite sweet with a lot of milk chocolate.

Appearance is very nice with a huge, long lasting, foamy, tan head, some lace, and an opaque brown black color. Aroma is mainly chocolate with a little roast, vanilla, and bourbon in the background. Flavor’s like nose, sweet bitter up front, soft carbonic tang, bourbon clashes with other qualities in finish. Body is a bit soft. One and done.

bottle sample from a shared bottle, poured a dark brown to black colour with a small beige ring on top, strong aroma of sweet bakers chocolate, cacao, mocha, raisins, vanilla, sweet bourbon spice notes, oak, some roasted nuts, dark malts, fudge, somehow the taste is a little bit off, i was expecting a lot more

Bottle. Dark chocolate black, inky but not thick. One inch of fuzzy cocoa-colored head sticks to the sides in thick globs. The nose is chocolate through and through. Cocoa powder and nibs, a hint of espresso, some vanilla, a touch of cola. Layered. Not a heavy flavor. Smooth cocoa leads, with bitter burnt roast rolling in soon after. A hint of vanilla and a touch of toasted wood in the form of coconut. Medium-light body ,mild carbonation. Inoffensive and smooth, though not overly flavorful. Like a rock rubbed smooth by the lapping of a chocolate river.

Bottle thanks to Jason for sharing. Dark brown pour with no head. Aromas are chocolate milk and vanilla. Tastes the same. Light to moderate sweetness. Just a touch of roast and oak in the finish. Good but I get very little bourbon in this.

Aroma is big, chocolatey, and a bit roasty. Brown with small tan head. Easy drinking and smooth, some chocolate, roast, and a bit of a woody finish. Really nice stuff.

Sample at S&G goes Brussels 2. APPEARANCE: black beer, small stable beige head. NOSE: chocolate, alcohol, mocha. TASTE: chocolate, mocha, alcohol, vanilla, oak, bit watery? Had this after BCBS and chocolate rain...

Draft. Aroma of LOTS of chocolate. Flavors of chocolate, some red wine, and finally some woodiness that seems to lift all of the beer?s sweetness off of the palate. Not super-complicated, but super good.
