Poured from a 22oz bottle. Aroma has a definite English character to it with quite a bit of dark fruit esters including plum and prune. Some light tobacco and leather notes also present. Medium chocolate character with hints of alcohol and caramel. Pours dark brown but not quite black with a medium thick tan head that has pretty nice retention and slowly recedes to the edges where it lingers. Medium light lacing and medium sized legs. Flavor has a moderate sweetness to it with a ton of chocolate character. Light tobacco and leather with medium light dark fruit. Light caramel and toasted bread rounds out the malt notes. Faint alcohol spice in the finish. Mouthfeel is medium to medium full bodied with medium carbonation but slightly watery in the finish. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall a pretty nice porter with a lot of chocolate character. Its difficult to drink this and not want a big, richer stout though so I had to keep reminding myself that it was a porter. Pretty easy to drink, even on a hot day.

Bottle - Sweet cocoa and bourbon. Deep jet brown and a decent brown head. Chocolate syrup and light sweet barrel notes. Syrupy but really well balanced with cocoa throughout.

Bottle shared by jmborggren. Poured black color with an average frothy brown head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy roasted dark malt and soft alcohol aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy dark sweet flavor with medium to heavy sweet finish of long duration. Standout complex beer.

22oz bottle, shared by jmborggren. White wax. Nice cookie dough aroma in the nose. Good dark chocolate, light coffee, oats. Medium to bigger body. Good, smooth, kind of crisp carbonation. Awesome bigger chewiness. Huge coffee aroma, oatmeal, some raisin. Hint of roast malt. Slight vegetal caracter. Bigger bitter taste, very light bite to it. Black color. Thin light brown head with good retention. Leaves a decent spread of lace. Awesome, big chewy flavorful imperial porter. Great stuff overall.

22 oz bottle shared by jmborggren. Pours a dark brown color with a small beige head. The aroma and flavor have sweet milk chocolate, bourbon, vanilla, light roast, smooth mouth feel; this is a solid imperial porter though the price tag is a bit steep. I am glad to have finally tried this.

Bomber to snifter (shared by jmborggren). Looks good; a translucent dark brown with light beige head that quickly dissipates into lacing. Smells good too; LOADS of chocolate with some oak as well. Tastes like it smells with a pleasant mouthfeel. Good beer!

Cumming GA Tasting. Mixed reviews on this one. This one came off more like a sweet stout for me, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Sweet boozy nose. Sweet cocoa, sweet milk chocolate, vanilla, dark chocolate, lite coffee, candi sugar. Overall too sweet and almost comes off not fully attentuated.

Thanks to deadcat for bringing this one. Tasting with westmeister. Big chocolate flavors and bittersweet chocolate texture, bitterness, and presence. All about the chocolate here. Did not realize this was barrel aged but there is some smoothing out vanilla in there as well. Dessert like beer that is a little one dimensional unfortunately.
