Can: Pink grapefruit and earthy hop nose; pours with a dense, creamy head; clear, deep golden, well carbononated body; bready malts and simple, sweet caramel up front, and a sharp hop finish that lingers a bit; somewhat light palate. Solid APA.

Can
Wasn’t expecting much from a beer out of a can, but I must say I was surpised. Pours a nice orange/yellow with nice lacing. Aroma of weak pine and citrus. Flavor is hops, grapefruit, and an ever-so-slight amount of strawberry. Palate is nice and coating. This is a good beer; don’t let the can fool you.
I’m with you, BBB63. I’d love to have this brew in a nice six-pack with the plastic dohickey.

CAN sent to me by the Mighty Oakes, served in a trusty pint glass:
The pour is quite nice with a clean straw hue topped by a large fluffy head and surprisingly excellent lace. The aroma has notes of fruity and grassy hops (Cascade and Northern Brewer?), grainy and biscuity malt, and a dash of pine. The taste is straight forward mild bitters balanced by smooth pale malting with a subdued spice and citric quality. A clean and crisp feel, refreshing. A top notch brew for the style and an additional bonus that it is canned. This beer is very much worth trying. (Question, does it come in six-packs with the plastic dohickey?)

I had to pick this up just for shits and giggles. A decent beer for something that comes out of a can. Lots of cereal malts, almost has a breakfast beer feel to it, from the hop aromas, and the orange fruit flavors. LIke having a bowl of cereal and orange juice for breakfast all in one beer. Balanced, and enjoyable

Canned. Pours a slightly hazy yellow color. Aroma is somehat hoppy. Some pine and malt are noticable. Fairly bitter flavor. Good hop presence. Pretty good APA. One of the better beers I’ve tried in a can.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 hopdog (7043) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 22, 2005
12oz can. Poured a light to medium and slightly hazy golden color with a smaller sized off white head. Aromas of grass, wet hay, citrus and a little fruity. Tastes of citrus, grain, and fruits. Starts with a light honey sweetness and ends in a light grapefruit bitter finish. Body on the thin and weak side. Some lacing left on the glass. Somewhat of a milestone beer too - 1st time I will have passed egajdzis in ratings.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Slick (1971) - Thief River Falls, Minnesota, USA - DEC 1, 2005
Nice amber/golden color, medium off white head that had a short life but managed a slight lace after it was all over.Decent aroma of malt and fruit and nicely hoppy. The taste was much better then i was expecting from a can.malty and hoppy with the hops coming on in the beginning and fadeing slightly towards the end where you get a nice citrusy side coming on and a mild bitterness in the end.Over all a failry decent brew considering the packageing which usually makes you think cheap, but not in this case.Well worth having more around for later.

(12 oz can: Belmont Station in Portland, OR) There aren’t too many good beers in a can, but this is one of those that proves that not everything in a can is garbage. The enticing nose is very fruity, grainy and hoppy, and a great lead-in for this pale ale. Sweet fruit (fresh apricots and orange citrus?), toasty malts, and mildly bitter but tasty hops pleasure my palate. Light-to-medium bodied, smooth and easy mouthfeel, so this goes down really easily (and unfortunately, too quickly). Medium straw color is very slightly hazy. Off-white head pours to an average size, and gradually fades away to a wide ring. Lacing is quite attractive, blanketing the top half of the glass with an intricate pattern. Very pleasant and enjoyable to drink, and the fact that it comes in cans makes it perfect for backpacking.
