Not too much hops in the aroma. This seems to be mostly bittering hops but it isn’t flavored too well. Still, it’s decent and drinkable. Just needs more balance. The amber is better.

12oz can. Pours a hazy orange amber with a medium long lasting beige head. Good lacing and head retention throughout. Aroma and Taste is of caramel malt, yeast, very fruity nose, citrus with some floral citrus hops. Palate is a medium body with moderate carbonation. Finished with a sweet caramel malt, yeast and citrus fruity notes with some good citrus and floral hops bitterness for balance. Overall a good balanced and solid all around pale ale

(Can) Pours clear deep orange with an off-white head. The aroma holds mild grapefruit, tart apricot, clear toast, and hints of flowers. Bit woodsy and fairly subtle. The flavour is light sweet, light to medium bitter and tiny acidic with notes of grapefruit, wood, bitter flowers, toasted bread and a touch of dry honey. The mouthfeel is fairly clean and fairly soft with a light carbonation. Lingering grapefruity and resinous finish. Light to medium bodied.

355ml can from Great Grog. Clear golden amber colour, reasonable head. Hoppy aroma. Vanilla coconut flavour, citrus fruit aftertaste. Possibly the best canned beer I have ever had.

Can. Clear yellow-orange pour with lively carbonation throughout my pint glass. Head is a massive snow white with impressive lacing that holds on to the glass for a bit. Aromas of marmalade, and grapefruit citrus, some pine hidden in there as well. Taste is very sweet and earthy with a lemon hoppy bitter finish. Real sessionable pale ale that lingers pleasantly in your mouth.

355ml can. Medium straw, white head. The aroma is quite spicy and hoppy, with a rather grainy malt character, citrus, apricots, spruce, grapefruit. Dry, light to medium body, medium bitterness, low CO2. Malty, grainy, hoppy taste, grapefruit, yeast. Feels a bit loose around the edges. (2012-03-10)

Tasted on 2/29/12 from a 12oz can purchased in a mixed sixer at Whole Foods Green Hills. Pours clear, brassy orange with a thick and rocky off-white head that slowly recedes to average lace, leaving thick lacing along the inside of the glass. The nose is an intense and beautiful blend of citrus, floral, and resin hops, with a nice bread malt backbone. The flavor is a little lighter with the floral citrus notes shining through with only a hint of resin, and some lightly sweet bread malt. The body is a little lighter than average with average carbonation and a long bread malt and bitter citrus hops finish.

Really liked this - low abv pale with a good whack of bitterness and a solid hop finish

Caldera Pale Ale has yellow colour and a crappy head. Slightly tangy fresh aroma. The taste is similar and not bitter at all. Pretty yummy and fresh.

A nice pale ale! Sort of an orangish color, clear, with a head that falls to a light ring around the glass. The aroma is sweet and hoppy. Nice flavor mix of hops and malt, the After taste is pleasantly bitter. This will be a good summer session beer for the boat or back porch!

5 feb 2012, can. Light amber ale, clear. Bready malt and peachy hops. Nice nose. Med/thin body and fizzy. Very piney hop flavor. Faintly peppery. Sweet malty, winery flavor. Really nice. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
