Can: Served in a shaker: Deep dark brown with a vanilla beige lacing. Nose has liquorice and some bay leaf, roast, sweet coal, some coffee, some cacoa but mainly roast and liquorice bay leaf. Flavour is nice roasty with malty and bay leaf, some bitters, light sweet, soke sweet coal, light caramel, coffee hints, light sweet wood and herbal roast. Aftertaste is roasty, light bitter, bay leaf, some malt roast and liquorice. Lowcarbo, creamy mouthfeel, good medium bodied and a light creamy texture. Nice but high on the liquorice bay leaf tone, still good and balanced.

Canned @ Kafe Belgie, large sample. Dark brown color, short brown head. Aroma of coffee, roast, chocolate, dark bread. Quite malty. Not much sweetness in taste, mostly bitter. Wonderful porter!

Solid porter. Body of sweetish malt, brown and coffee I think. Notes of mocca, cacao and a bit milk. Nice.

Deep dark brown colour. Quite a sweet aroma with lots of choclately malts and a touch of toast. Texture is rich, smooth and oily. Bittersweet roasted cocoa with a slight hop bitterness in the background.

12 oz. can from Total Wine, Virginia Beach, VA. Dark brown cola-like pour with a foamy khaki head. Chocolate aromas. Tastes of chocolate and coffee with faint floral hops. Finish is clean and not too heavy. A solid porter.

12 Fl. Oz. Can. Poured dark brown, medium light brown head (disappeared quickly), no lacing. Aroma roasted malts, and some chocolate. Taste is consistent, malty, sweet, earthy and sort of nutty. Not bad, a proper porter.

seems almost more of a brown ale, more creamy than i was expecting, but overall pretty good.

~Rich milk chocolate and dark chocolate aroma with light coffee roast, toffee. ~Pours a light brown with lasting creamy brown head. ~Roasty, slightly burnt flavor with cocoa and coffee, woodsy earthiness. ~medium bodied, medium high CO2, frothy, dry roasty slightly burnt lingering finish. ~A little heavy on the roasted malts, but still easy to drink and enjoyable.
