12 oz. can. It pours a thick dark brown color with a nice tan head. The aroma is full with chocolate. Tons of chocolate with some tannic roasted malt and hints of smoke along with background notes of caramel and bread. Very robust. The flavor is similar with heavy roasted malt, a bit of tartness and astringency before a pleasant chocolaty, smoky finish. Rich bready, caramel malt backbone. Hop bitterness is low and the body is medium full bordering on thick, especially for the ABV. The heavy roast and mildly tart astringency are a bit off for me, but otherwise this is a very rich and flavorful porter.

Can: Deep ruby-amber coloured, presumably hazy, mid-sized and slowly collapsing loose off-white head, roasted malt, nuts and chocolate in the sweet-bitter nose, traces of leather too; moderate to solid sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied, soft; lingering and slightly drief njtty, toasty and chocolatey finish. A pleasant Porter…

Dark brown beer, small tan head. Nose is malt, roasty notes, something oily, heavy, almost like bacon, chocolate, smoke. Flavor is roasty, milk chocolate, burned sugar, ash. Chocolate finish, roast, bready notes, mild hops. Lingering roast and chocolate. Smooth mouthfeel. Pretty nice.
