Can from Total Wine in Roseville, CA. Nice and creamy on the palate. Good amount of chocolate flavor with some mild bitterness. Nice solid beer in a can.

Can from Taniguchi, served in snifter, black with a Thick beige head that vanished fast. The nose is mostly stone fruits, a bit roasty with some smokey chocolate. Medium bodied with a scratchy raspy mouthfeel. The taste is savoury chocolate, light fruit and sweet semi-bitter chocolate. A tasty brew. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can from some dump in Middlebury. Near black with lasting tan head and lace. Spicy hop aroma with chocolate and cola. Roasted chocolate, chocolate chip cookies, coffee, cola, pretty sweet, medium fruity with roasted woody hop finish. Fairly dry, creamy fine carbo. medium body. Probably could have done without the extra sweetness from the dextrine, but still very good and very complex for an everyday porter. .

Black with red highlights and a medium offwhite head that leaves nice lacing. Nose is of coffee, chocolate and chicoree. Taste is lightly sweet and loaded with roasted malt. Slightly ashy. More coffee and chocolate. Body is light to medium and carbonation moderate and mouthfeel a little creamy and smooth (oatmeal-like). A bif weak for a porter, still. Overall a fair porter but not something I would come back to.

The head is ok, body black, it smells roasty, darkmalty, bit old. The taste is roasty, darkmalty, bit old, less hoppy, drinkable. Its still ok but the brewery should put a bestbefore date on so it cant get that old! 2,9

Can, canned 04/09/14. Pours a very dark auburn brown with a decent sized, beige head. Aroma is roasted, slight chocolate and cocoa, slight coffee. Perhaps a tad smoky and dark malt bread. Taste is roasted, perhaps even somewhat smoky. Slight dark fruitiness. Finishes with some citrus, roast and coffee and slight smoke. Fairly light with low cacrbonation.

355ml can @home. Pours black in color, thick brown head. Pleasant chocolate, mocha aroma, roastedness, lots of licorice as well. Flavor has chocolate, sweetness, roasted malt, milk chocolate cookies. Smooth mouthfeel. Too thin though, Watery even.

Canned, Deep brown body with an average, lacing tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee, a hint of vanilla and hoppy notes. Medium bodied, oily texture and soft carbonation. A very nice Porter indeed.
