On tap at Cabezon (a restaurant in my neighborhood). Colour... very pale gold with a thick head. Nose... floral with jasmine and laurel. Palate... quite frothy with bits of noble hops and a light, crisp lemony character. Whereas this may not be the pils most people expect (a north German style), it is quite refreshing and would do well on a summer’s eve whilst dining out of doors.

On tap @ Plews. Pours a clearish yellow with a large white head. Smell is offensively vegetal with hints of spicy hops. Taste is spicy and nutty with slight hints of vegetable flavors. A bit overcarbonated.

A clear blonde pils with a thick lacing white head. In aroma, a classic light chalky malt, lightly grainy. In mouth, a smooth refreshing pils with biscuitty malt, light czech hops, a nice summer pils. On tap at Hair of the Dog, Sept. 4, 2010.

Not one of my favorite pilsners but anything to steal thunder from the industrial is a major improvement. Pours a nice yellow. A bit sparkly. Has some of the pils metallic notes that my tastebuds pick up at the faintest of levels. OK.

Draft at Siskiyou Micro Pub. Nose of floral hops, caramel, french bread, and a light piney note. Clear gold with a big heavily lacing white head. Flavor is light fruitiness, caramel, and light bitterness.

Went in blind on this one, going by my recent discovery that I actually enjoy Pilsners and the fact that I had never had a beer I didn’t enjoy from Caldera. Those feelings failed me on this one. I support the earlier poster who said that there was a veggie aroma to this one. I couldn’t even really tell you for sure which veggies, but it was definitely there. The palate was like cardboard too, just not a winner for me. On draft at Horse Brass on 3/7.

Draught. Poured pale gold with thick white head. Lekker hop aroma with hay notes. Malt, hoppy and toast notes. Good bitter finish. Well worth drinking

Tap... Poured clear, golden yellow with a silky, white head. Malty, cracker-like grains on the nose. Very mellow and tame palate with smooth, highly drinkable flavors of malt and a little bit of bitterness from hops. Finished with bread-like flavors and a tiny sweetness similar to honey.

Yellow golden pour with a decent head. The aroma is an odd mix of yeast and vegetables. Lots of veggie flavors with some spicy yeast. A touch of salt in the finish. I am pretty sure this is not supposed to be like this and it was a touch disappointing because I like Caldera’s beers.
