IrishBoy (2686), Bakersfield, California, USA Apr 30, 2009 Draft at Siskiyou Micro Pub. Nose of floral hops, caramel, french bread, and a light piney note. Clear gold with a big heavily lacing white head. Flavor is light fruitiness, caramel, and light bitterness. pantani (1894), Salinas, California, USA Apr 11, 2009 Gold with a nice white head. Aroma is pale malt, dried fruit, floral hops. Taste is super clean, floral hops, dried apricots, pale malt. Beardface (977), Eugene, Oregon, USA Mar 9, 2009 Went in blind on this one, going by my recent discovery that I actually enjoy Pilsners and the fact that I had never had a beer I didn’t enjoy from Caldera. Those feelings failed me on this one. I support the earlier poster who said that there was a veggie aroma to this one. I couldn’t even really tell you for sure which veggies, but it was definitely there. The palate was like cardboard too, just not a winner for me. On draft at Horse Brass on 3/7. troopie (851), USA Mar 7, 2009 Draught. Poured pale gold with thick white head. Lekker hop aroma with hay notes. Malt, hoppy and toast notes. Good bitter finish. Well worth drinking boFNjackson (1233), Portland, Oregon, USA Jan 4, 2009 Tap... Poured clear, golden yellow with a silky, white head. Malty, cracker-like grains on the nose. Very mellow and tame palate with smooth, highly drinkable flavors of malt and a little bit of bitterness from hops. Finished with bread-like flavors and a tiny sweetness similar to honey. riversideAK (2648), Shoreline, Washington, USA Dec 30, 2008 Yellow golden pour with a decent head. The aroma is an odd mix of yeast and vegetables. Lots of veggie flavors with some spicy yeast. A touch of salt in the finish. I am pretty sure this is not supposed to be like this and it was a touch disappointing because I like Caldera’s beers. Angeloregon (2024), Portland, Oregon, USA Aug 2, 2008 On tap at the Oregon Brewers Fest 2008--Poured a pale straw-golden body with a small white top. Grainy, cream, cereal nose. Sharp, clean, flavorful. Spicily hopped. Not standout but far from disappointing. Actually, quite good. harlequinn (2745), Tacoma, Washington, USA Jan 12, 2006 On tap @ Lompoc - A satisfying hop bite, mustard seeds, and a light malt body, with a smooth creamy mouthfeel and alot of dense bready flavors throughout, some corn and grass round out the finish.
