(Draught at Beer Temple, Amsterdam, 30 Aug 2015) Black colour with creamy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of coffee, dark chocolate, coconut and vanilla. Malty, roasted taste with dark chocolate, coffee, coconut, vanilla and a finish with a slightly creamy sweetness and a balanced roasty bitterness. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Interesting, tasty and really well balanced. Very nice.

tap at Platypus in Bend: great smell of chocolate, vanilla, then coconut. Not over the top as I get more vanilla and cocoa than anything else. Good roasted malt backbone. Quite smooth.

On tap at Beer Temple, Amsterdam. Pours black with a large off-white head that leaves lots of lacing on the glass. Aroma is ash, earth and slight roasted coffee. Taste is ash, dark fruits, coconut water and coffee. Slightly watery and would prefer more coconut coming through but a good beer overall.

Draft at beertemple. Black pour. Aroma is awesome, with lots of choco, coconut, cream and vla. Taste of rich milk chocolate, coconut, sweet passion fruit, grapefruit, roast and cream. Really awesome, like a choco coconut desert cake.

5 oz chilled pour from tap into a cylindrical tasting glass at Growler Guys in Portland, Oregon. Black/dark brown, mostly opaque, moderate off-white head. Nose is toasty malts and oatmeal cookie. Medium body, a little thin. Taste brings together dark chocolate, coconut, and maltiness. I’d like to try this one in a bit bigger quantity.
