On draught at Bailey’s Taproom. Milk chocolate aroma. Subtle coconut mixes well with the chocolate notes.

On tap at OBF. My dad’s second favorite of the day. A: Pitch black with a creme colored head. Good legs.. N: Coconut, vanilla, cocoa, coffee, black pepper and black licorice, dark fruits. T: Moderately sweet and bitter, in harmonious interwinization. (Shut up.) M: Creamy, medium body. No alcohol burn. O: An interesting combination that is tasty, but pales in comparison to Funky Buddha’s Last Snow.

Tap at the 2014 OBF as Caldera Toasted Coconut Porter at 6.2%. Pours very dark brown with a tan head. Aroma has lots of chocolate and clearly coconut. Med+ body. Flavor is chocolate and arguably coconut. Dark malt. Finishes a bit sweet, but all the chocolate helps with that.

Deep dark brown with tan creamy head. Great smells of cold chocolate and light coconut. Nice rich the bitter is mellowed by the coconut with out getting too sweet. Leaves a lasting coconut flavor behind.

Frig did I ever like this. I love porters, chocolate, coconut and getting twisted so...duh. It smells like toasted coconut, dark chocolate and roasty malts. Just enough mild hopping to keep the sweetness in check because she is fucking sweet. Pretty desserty, so not an everyday slug. Texture is thinner chocolate milk mixed with a typical pale ale. Really sits on the tongue and lets you enjoy the coco-loco-ness of it all. A creamy, medium-full body just waiting for dessert or perhaps a weekend breakfast.

On tap at Caldera, pours a deep dark amber with a creamy medium beige / tan head. Aroma brings out intense liquid melted chocolate, followed by more subdued coconut. Flavour brings out more of the coconut, with loads of dried coconut flakes, followed by milk chocolate. Creamy, milky palate, with pungent coconut notes. Great stuff.

Pours a thin head on a clearer brown colored body. The aroma is chocolate and coconut... as expected. The taste is moderately sweet chocolate and coconut with some mild bitterness in the middle and cream. Good balance. The texture is smooth, creamy with low carbonation. On the sweet side, but still enjoyable.

On tap at Baileys Taproom. Colour...dark brown with a moderately thick tan head. Nose...teeming with roasted malt, toasted cocoanut and milk chocolate. Palate...nicely frothy with malty goodness up front and then mounds (pardon the expression) of cocoanut and chocolate. The roasty character exist throughout the palate and the whole experience does not disappoint!

On draft at Sesame in Ashland, Oregon. Poured very dark, tending toward black with a nice beige head and thick lacing rings. The nose is roasted malts with coconut and chocolate. Medium body. Very creamy mouthfeel. There is a hint of bitterness in the finish, but again chocolate malts zare with you to the very end in this exceptionally well balanced porter.
