Keg at The Pilot Inn, Berwick upon Tweed, Northumberand. Amber with nitro head. Overly smooth beer to the point of being tasteless, quite an achievement really, Cardboard, soggy, some malt, but little of any interest.

In Perth. Scotland at a pub. . Poured rich brown with a small off-white head and good lacing. Nose of malts and ripe fruit. Medium body and about as smooth a mouthfeel as you can imagine. Flavor is s nice combination of fruit and malts. Dry biter finish, A superb session brew.

Draught Amber body, creamy nitro-like head. Mild aroma, hint of clean caramel malt. Smooth body wtih moderate carbonation and weight. Caramel malt body, biscuity undertones, moderately bitter dry finish. Not bad.

Pint served from tap at the restaurant Oak Rooms in St Andrews after my talk on early modern witchcraft. Nitro creamy head over a dark brown body. Smell of dark malts. Slightly roasted taste of black chocolate malt added by a syrup hint. Welcoming bitter ending. Alright with my meal [05.11.2008].

Salmon Galashiels. Bog standard keg 80/-. Little in the way of aroma or flavour, typical I suppose.

Aroma eas minimal, though malt caramel managed to get throuugh. Taste gives more open banter, as if a fire moose needed more!
