On draught at Billy Bridges, Ayr (11 Mar 12) - roasted barley aroma, clear copper with a creamy off-white head, caramel / roasted barley with a hint of coffee, quite sweet but too cold, fairly smooth

On draught. Pours a golden brown colour with a thick white head. Aroma of caramel and barley. Similar flavours. Moderate carbonation and a creamy mouth-feel. Very thin.

Cask at Auley’s, Oban, Scotland.
Clear amber golden colour with small creamy off-white head.
No aroma. Mild dry malty flavour with some caramel sweetness. Balanced. Even some mild hoppiness. Very drinkable.

Cask at the banl hotel on the most magical of festive soiree’s. It tastes like best. Not terrible. Unimpressive at best. ’Best’. Geddit!

Sample at Ghillie Dhu in Edinburgh. This is Tennents answer to Belhaven Best and is unsuprisingly very similar. Dark copper colur with thick white head. Aroma is caramel. Taste is sweet malt and caramel with a slightly bitter finish.
