A stunningly complex beer, full of hop aromas and malty characteristics. Cask Ale. Available only in May.

First tasted this ale in Coanes, Johnstone in September 1995. Cask, handpump dispense. Clear amber in colour with a thin white creamy head. Strong aroma of highland toffee, long in intensity. Creamy mouthfeel and good lacing. Pale malts give a smooth creamy toffee flavour through the chewy digestive biscuit base. Slight dusty hop prickle evident but does not impact on the sweet malty finish. A cracking session ale and sadly missed.

Sampled cask conditioned. Bronze coloured. Flowery aroma. Sweet, medium bodied, lighlty soapy mouthfeel. Medium bitterness.
