Aroma is faint, but there is malt, woodsmoke and barley. Colour is a gorgeous brown/gold colour. Taste is malt with a woodsmoke aftertaste. Great mouthfeel and good balance. Funny that they call this a bitter since there is very little bitter taste to it.

500ml bottle. The more I drink these Bitter UK ales the better I come to like them. Looks robust and complex with a strong tight white small foam head. Burnt ruby in colour with aromas of malt and barley with a faint woodsmoke odour hiding in the background. Mellow with a nice mouthfeel. Pleasant and easy to drink.

500ml Can pours amber, fizzy head that leaves light lacing, Nutmeg and apple aromas. Sugary dried fruit flavours with fairly thin body

On tap at a pub in Glasgow. Pour a rich amber colour. Smokey flavour, with hints of fruity, malts and a bit of nuts. Very good beer.
