Cask conditioned at The Guildford Arms, Edinburgh. Gassy fizzy copper beer with disapating head. Thin malty flavour and an astringent bitterness.

Blah, just when you think that Scottish Ale is going to take over the world you get a loser like this. Musty, woody aroma; balanced flavors but lacking distinction in every other way. (on tap, Turf Tavern, Oxford)

(Cask version from the Cumberland Bar in Edinburgh) Dark copper color, creamy beige head. Nice and fresh grapefruity hops aroma. A bit watery but the grapefruit flavor comes through with a bit of caramel and resin finish.

Cask conditioned found in fairly commercial pub in London. Not bad. Rather lacking in character, but not completely. Still nothing really impressive enough to make comments more than I was looking forward to the neet pint - of something else.
