On cask. Pours a brown colour with a thin, light tan head. Aroma is quite malty with alcohol and yeast. Similar flavours with a malty linger. OK.

Cask conditioned Handpump Walnut Tree Blisworth. A near black beer with an off-white bubbly head. A good example of a 60/ ale. Sweet caramel notes and dry smoky aromas. Very mild but the flavours are OK and there’s none of that Caley toffee taste.

An expected nose, undelicate colouration and lacking head. Clean, steely kick without being overly impressive. No questions really asked overall, unsuprising at 3.6%. Doesnt improve at all over the course of a pint. Dry linger doesnt encourage reaching back for the glass. Filling the Burns Day void without trying really.

UPDATED: JAN 17, 2012 Cask @ Reverie, Edinburgh. Dark brown with a reddish hue & good head. Mild vegetable malt aroma. Grassy caramel malt flavour. Sour aftertaste. Another new and not very good Caledonian beer.
