Pint at the Old Manor in Bracknell. Black with a bubbly, creamy head. Chocolate dark malt, with a hint of spice. Some bitterness and a tart aftertaste. Hops come through after the malt. Quite a decent beer. Spiced and hoppy aroma.

[Cask at the Hope Tap (JDW), Reading] Strong milk chocolate clavour, but good quality milk chocolate. Greeen leafy hops show through. Very smooth and creamy. This grew on me, it’s definitely one of the better ones at the fest.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 sm89walt (1586) - Norwich, Norfolk, ENGLAND - OCT 25, 2011
Cask - The Bell Hotel (JDW), Norwich. Poured a deep ruddy brown with a thick & creamy lasting beige head atop leaving a dense lace. Rich raisin and milky chocolate profile, touches of damson, slightly lactic. Some ashy bitterness in the finish on the tongue. Medium body, soft & creamy mouthfeel, short sweetish mild bitter finish. Didn’t seem anywhere near 6% in terms of ’drinkability’.
