500ml bottle. Pours light copper with a very thin head. A little darker in colour than expected. Mild, fresh aroma. Slightly floral with moderate to strong hops and a light sweetness. Mild malt and a moderately long finish thatís not too sharp. Not quite as smooth as Iíd hoped but well balanced and very enjoyable.

I really liked this beer, itís not too bitter (only the finish) and is very refreshing. The aroma is pretty hoppy.

3.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
A solid session IPA - light, hoppy and tasty. Brewery is almost next door to me, so it has been a long time favourite of mine that I use as the benchmark for judging other IPAs. Widely available in most shops and supermarkets in Scotland, so it is a perfect fall-back when there is nothing more exotic or interesting available. A perfect ale for introducing lager drinkers to the world of real ales.

2.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Fresh fruity aroma, head that dissipates quickly leaving plenty of lacing. A murky dark yellow hue. Medium bitter taste like well a bitter in fact and too much yeast, not an IPA, tastes like a sticky sweet fuggles bitter . A most confused drink. Not to try again.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Interesting aroma of flowers and honey.
Taste is weak for american ipa and rather typical for british: low bitterness, tart, strong malt component

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Clear amber color with white head. Aroma has earthy hops and a good amount of underlying, bready malts. Taste starts well balanced between the malts and hops, bready and earthy. Finishes bitter and earthy. Light body with a nice minerality specific to British beers. Really easy drinking and refreshing but itís doesnít pack very much flavor.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
500ml bottle served in its own pint glass. Pours a clear dark orange color. Nose is a mix of caramel and resin. Toffee, caramel malts, resin in the mouth too. Slightly sweet, slightly bitter. Strong British character. Light body. Medium to low carbonation. Caramel and resin in the aftertaste. Medium drinkability. Classic British bitter made in Scotland.
