Bottled: Golden/yellow coloured. Huge white head. Mild hoppy and pleasant flowery aroma. Flavour is buttery with some hop notes. Has a good balanced bitterness in the end. Smooth and very drinkable. Matched my madras curry perfectly.

On tap in Edinburgh restaurant. A clear copper beer with a small creamy nitrogen head. Aroma is grassy and fresh hops like, resinous, low body, simlpy an easy drickable beer with long grassy hops flavour. Relative low bitterness for an IPA.

Found this bottle in ’Gormet Foods’ on the island of Tobago. Alcohol 4.4%: Brown 500ml bottle, best before Oct 2009, drank on my hotel balcony in June 2008. Light amber colour with a firm white head it looked fine. Don’t forget I’d been drinking Carib Lager for over a week and I needed a beer fix. Impressive hoppy aroma, not overly powerful, but a true beer smell. The hops come through in the taste as well, a very understanded beer, flavoursome, but not pushy in its mouthfeel. There is a body to the beer however, it feels like a beer should. Overal, good, just what I wanted at the time. Didn’t realise I hadn’t reviewed it before.

Much better in bottle form than on draught. Rich honey and citrus aroma. Taste is a bit biscuity but not bad. Hops give it enough kick to balance. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

erickok (1071) - Leiden, NETHERLANDS - APR 8, 2012
Golden, fizzy body with bubbly but quickly disintegrating white head. Bread, orange peel, white sugar. Little more fruity than some English bitters. Light sweet body that’s easy to drink but kind of boring. Does have a more hop bitter after taste. Some chemical citrus hint. Palate isn’t too watery though. Decent yet very unimaginative. (50cl bottle)

Bottle. Clear copper body with a short, lacing off-white head. Fruity nose, these things all smell the same. Light body but not watery, caramel coming on to best the fruit, with some wood but no real nuts or yeast. Perhaps a hint of sterilized metal, but still, quite moreish.

Kriegbaum (699) - Randers, DENMARK - JAN 31, 2012
Bottle of 50 cl. Clear golden with an orange tinge, and a small white head. Aroma of malt and light hops and faint fruity notes. The taste is sweet and slightly dry with fruity notes. Sweetish taste with a slightly hoppy finish. A little disappointed hop profile, as I had expected an English inspired IPA and got a Bitter

From a bottle. I used to enjoy drinking this, today however it was fairly unbearable. Smells rank, dusty, musty, skunky, yeasty with some caramel. Similar tastes. Tastes like an old mans wet dream. Couldn’t finish it

Aroma and taste of sour caramel, butterscotch and some hops. The taste is thin and watery, the aftertaste has a sour tone.
